so i finally found a room and booked it...

staying in san bernadino.. bout an hour drive away from the festival. it's going to suck to drive two hours every day in a rental car, but i didn't have any other options. anyone else staying out there?

That is kindof a bummer. On the upside, I've stayed there a few years ago, and it was rather pleasant. I've never been to Indio before, but it seems like a complete hole.

i can always cancel my reservations at no charge and switch to a closer hotel if a room becomes available.............

but somehow i don't see that happening. esp. not for 109 dollars a night like the room i have now.

it's only a one bed room, but they had 1 or 2 more rooms available. the lowest price is 109 and the "suites" (which just have a fridge/microwave) are 125 ... PM me if you want the hotel details and i can send you the site link. like i said, it's an hour (actualy like an hour and 10 minutes according to mapquest) drive... but it's the cheapest thing i could find that was still available.

Why don't you just stay wherever you live and fly in every day?

heh... speaking of that... the shortest flight i can find is 7.5 hours total travel. most flights range between 8-12 hours total travel time.

I don't post so you can laugh. As long as my demographic is taken care of, I'm good.

oh... next year (if i can save up 3fuckinggrand again) i will be booking a hotel wayyyyyyyy in advance. i'm planning on making this my yearly vacation. i haven't ever had the chance to go before because of financial issues. traveling all the way there from florida isn't cheap. hopefully it will at least be -possible- each year from now on.

i dunno, mapquest is pretty acurate with times. i'd like to hope it's actualy more like 30 minutes... but i doubt i got that lucky.
