A quick story for you, wonderful reader of this post:

A friend and I are driving to SoCal from CINCINNATI, OHIO for the festival, and we are super excited about the whole thing. We have our tickets, we've got iPod's full of songs from almost every band, camping gear, the works.

HOWEVER, silly as it is, we forgot to purchase our CAMPING PASS when we got our tickets! And now, as you may know, they are sold out. (FROWNZ)

So what are we going to do? We're hoping that the two of us can somehow hook up with someone else who has a camping pass that they are not fully utilizing. Would this magical person be you? I hope so!

Please e-mail me at lumenDOTsivitzATgmailDOTcom or reply and let me know if you can help! Willing to chip in, pick up, whatever.

hmmm.... thanks for the suggestion, but i've called two of the ones close by, and both have said they've been booked since november. I figured it was a lost cause. Anyone else have contradictory information?

Camp at Lake Cahuilla 5 minutes from the festival. All the info you need is here...

although its certainly not ideal, I've stayed in both Palm Springs and Rancho Mirage. You should be able to find a hotel near Rancho or closer I'd think.

Ok what the fuck are the rules about camping we have one pass but like 10 people... trying to get another one but if we can hippie it up and all camp there I'm good with that and if that is the case we're already doing the hippie thing so the more merrier lol... so CINCINNATI if we get another one your more than welcome at our camp we just might have to pay a lot of money for it so the more people to pitch in the easier it will be I'll let you know if i find anything... Peace Love and Coachella :-)

I would hope that more people would be willing to share camping spots. I know if I had one with extra space, I would agree the more the merrier!

This is truly sage-like advice.

Well, ended up going with the Lake Cahuilla Primitive camping option. $67 total for four nights... not too bad, although I did have to wait on hold for about 40 minutes first. Anyone who is still looking, call them up!

Sorry friend, aka greedy profiteering bastard, that is simply an outrageous price.

If by "hook up" you mean "give eight hundred dollars to," then that person is me:

It's bad enough you're scalping in the first place, but using the board to do it is not wise.
