PASS - those prices are outrageous

and it looks like the 3rd day is actually a different fest...its the Rockstar Energy "Uproar" tour. pass on that too...horrible lineup.

For Phoenix I have the $99 seats Section 105 row 18. For Vegas I snagged $75 tickets in section 204 row A. In the back but front row and pretty centered for a cheap seat.

Not the best Phoenix seat but i'm happy with the Vegas cheap seat.

Fang Island/Hollerado last night was one of the most fun shows I've been to in a long time. I went with some friends not knowing anything about either of the bands, and they both had great stage presence, good songs, and just put on a great show. It was the best sound mix I've ever heard at the Trunk Space, and the atmosphere afterward was so great because everyone was so amped up from the awesome show. Everyone just hung out in the parking lot, bullshitting and talking music and having a good time, bands included. It's the kind of atmosphere I wish the Trunk Space would have more often.

I def think the Trunk Space has improved its sound recently. And that atmosphere sounds cool, though I kind of have that sort of thing semi-associated with that venue anyway. I like the way things work with Sweets n Beats and the Bikini Lounge right there; they all make each other better.

Also I forgot to buy myself a Caribou ticket this afternoon. The story Friday night was that the show was doing very well. If I ended up going down without a ticket I'm def going early.

Pre-EDIT: Fuck it. I hate print at home but I'ma buying a ticket anyway. Cause I hate Will Call and/or showing up at a sold out show even more.

Just saw a 15 minute set from Pigeon Religon with six people playing.

Now is Earthmen & Strangers.

Pigeon Religion played on odd set. One of the guys on stage played a portable grinder for the third song. The sound was indistinct though so we had no idea sound, if any, it was making. Overall the set was loud and oppressive and almost brought to mind sludge metal at times but not as chaotic as I am used to from them.

Earthmen & Strangers were fantastic. Well, the first couple songs were fantastic and the others were really good. They opened with "Cold Action" and then played a new song, "about being a fuck." For those unfamiliar their music is heavy with well layered riffs and great musicianship all around.

Next were A Frames playing their first show in Phoenix.
