Plot your route beforehand, look at the most direct routes and avoid those. Most people will be coming in via 111 and the I-10.

The shuttle services are the same that they had from the Phish Festival in October 2009. They sucked really badly. The taxi's were the best service to flag down or find a personal driver to bring you back and forth. They were always prompt and when you shared it, it is less then everyone in your group to by a shuttle pass. When you think about it, if you have four people in your group and everyone pays for the shuttle is $360. A cab to Palm Springs is $90, so Palm Desert is alot cheaper, especially for a group. And the shuttles couldn't be found when the concert was over, just a lot of people mad because they bought tickets for the shuttles and still had to take cabs. The shuttle service sucks.... DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY!!! LISTEN FROM EXPERIENCE!!!

The taxi's know the best and fastest route... especially when you find one that has been driving the festivals out here and knows the ways around all the traffic and secret places closest to the gates to get in. Who wants to walk everywhere after a long day.
