Since us Californians will be voting to legalize the sale and taxation of cannabis this November, I thought it would be fun to predict what the surgeon general will be stamping on our weed.

Also, take some time to get educated on the initiative if you haven't yet.

Here's my first failed attempt:

Surgeon General's warning - Smoking weed makes you eat.

Considering the feds don't recognize California's movements on it as of yet, I doubt they'll be jumping to come up with a warning.

They could always go the increases blood pressure, shrinks the frontal lobe, damages lung tissues route.

the warning should come with a disturbing picture (do your cigs have those in the US? Ours do). Only instead of a lung cancer biopsy, it should be a picture of some loser sitting on a dingy couch playing video games with his housecoat open.

I'm not too sure on legalizing it, but weed should be decriminalized and taken down from the Schedule 1 classification.

This is a sad moment for St. Louis law schools.

malcolmjamalawesome

I don't really see the difference here.

Well in practical terms there is non to the consumer, but from a legal standpoint there's quite a difference. Start learning to be a stickler about these things.

OH, nevermind. I didn't realize what was Schedule II. I thought all of Schedule II was legal.

I get decriminalizing vs. legalizing. It's the Controlled Substances Act that really threw me into a whoopsy daisy of sorts.

No. Hell no. Jesus Christ. You must be studying strictly gay law, huh?

I dont want weed legalized. Half the reason I smoke is because I feel like a badass when I smoke it. It wont be nearly as cool if its legalized.

Well considering the only chance this bill is has to pass is because of the profit motive for the state, I judge that there's zero chance for that.

My only concern will be feeding some corporate dogs more money. We will need to push those fuckers like Marlboro away from the weed markets. I don't want any corporations getting me high.

You're retarded. Profit is the only way this shit is ever going to get legalized and it needs to happen. I absolutely want corporations getting me high, know why? Alcohol. When corporations get involved you get thousands of options for variety and strength and it gets purified and regulated. Bring them in, let them dump lobbying money into it so that this shit will finally be available on the open market.

First off, please learn to socialize with people without insulting them. Its something most people are taught around the age of 5. Conversations work a lot better when you don't immediately come off as a gigantic egotistical douche.

Secondly, I said there is zero chance of legalization without the profit motive. I support legalization therefore I support the taxation. I'm a socialist. I want the government to have money to work with. I will be more than happy to purchase weed from mom and pop kinds of brands and have my money go to someone earning an honest living. Not corporate giants like Marlboro that spend billions lobbying congress to get shit their way and destroy whats left of any democratic processes we have left in this country.

You're shoveling shit against the tide, dumb fuck. If you want to get laws overturned, you need Marlboros. And Anheuser Buschs. And Pfizers. Corporations so fucking big they can do that kind of shit. You might as well sit back and complain that you want to stop purchasing gas from non-mom and pop gas stations.

"Decriminalization has already started with the Federal Government no longer subjecting those individuals who are complying with state medical marijuana laws to federal drug raids and prosecutions."
link (http://money.cnn.com/2009/09/11/magazines/fortune/medical_marijuana_legalizing.fortune/index.htm)

Stopped smoking the pots a while a go, but legalization seems to be inevitable with over half of the states now already making or in the process of legalizing medical marijuana.
