Hello!

Just curious if you can give any info as to when is the best time to leave coachella (obvious answer is never, but the dream must die at some point). Sunday morning? Afternoon? How crazy is it leaving?

The best time to leave is Thursday afternoon, right after arriving! Beats the crowds!

Good question, I have a feeling the line up for the bus to get out of coachella will be massive, so I'm waking up early on Monday to get in line. It depends on if you are driving or taking transit, but I would think leaving sunday night after the festival is over would be the best time to leave.

You should leave as soon as you hear the first note of music played or else your ears will blow off your head and land in someone's lemonade. Not cool!

*Trying to think up a witty, sarcastic, nonsensical response to your question. That seems to be the standard on this forum*

I'll leave when the smack, weed, meth, coke, downers, and booze all wear off. Probably around Wednesday.

WTF? Why would you leave Sunday morning? I can't tell who is trolling and who is insane anymore.

I can see trying to beat the crowd a bit, especially if you are driving. That's why we camp now. In '07, stayed late for Gogol...the entire mainstage crowd was already gone, parking lot was a nightmare. If you're concerned, ditch out a little before midnight.

since not one person has said it, i will...

you wanna leave Monday. it doesn't matter if it's the morning or afternooon, just Monday...

leaving Coachella on Sunday is only for the biggest tools imaginable.. and you won't have any traffic, because you'll be the only one leaving (in fact, there will be so many people heading towards the fest on sunday, you'll have trouble getting out.. and if camping, you are required to notify event staff so they can guide your car out of car camping without driving over anyone..)

OK, well, Monday, you probably want to get out as soon as you can wake your ass up. Everyone has to be gone by noon, so morning is the only option anyway.

We were up and out by 8:30 last time, drove right out and went to a deserted IHOP or Dennys for breakfast. Just try not to sleep in too late and you'll be alright.
