In 1999 i did. i get itchy thinking about it. But i would give them the benefit of the doubt they have improved since then. Maybe they have new owners. Maybe Coachella money helped them improve the place. When i stayed there it felt like the kind of place where a trucker would take a lady of the evening to screw, smoke and drink for a few hours. Roaches in the bathroom. TV only channeled up and the porn looked like it might be happening in the next room. Before going i was suspicious and threw a bed sheet in the trunk. Girlfriend at the time thought that quite anal of me. When she walked into the room she said "Get the sheet."

Remember, this was 99. Could be an entirely different place now.

TV only channeled up and the porn looked like it might be happening in the next room. .

I stayed at the Sunset 8 next to the Cat and Fiddle in Hollywood and when i turned on the porn channel all the noise i heard in the whole motel was magically aligned. When I looked out my window I saw used needles and condoms. First time I stayed in a motel by myself at 18.

you stayed there? It looks crappy but it got some decent reviews. Not looking for anything nice, just clean and quiet . Just a place where I can get some studying done before each day.

I've stayed at the Deluxe inn, which I think may be owned by the same people, since we had to call the city center inn to make reservations. It was pretty nice, and the indian couple who ran the place gave us free crap for going to coachella.

Go elsewhere. It's difficult to believe that this hotel is a Holiday Inn Express. It does not meet the standards I've found in several other of the chain's hotels. The awful yellow/gold paint on the outside of the ancient building is very off-putting. The owners have tried to update the two decrepid buildings that make up the hotel, with mixed... more

We book a room here for five nights. The check in was good. But once we got into our room it smelled bad. The carpet was stained. The floor lamp was broken with a burn hole in the shade. The door did not lock very well, it was dented at the lock. The bathroom was very roomy but the floor... more

We have stayed in many Holiday Inn Express hotels and this is definately not your typical Holiday Inn Express. The bedding is not upgraded as is provided in most Holiday Inn Express hotels and the bathroom needs to be updated with new lights and a bathtub. The water pressure in the shower is not very strong. My daughters room faced... more

I have nothing against the animal world, just not in my hotel room. This was my second stay here - I should have learned from the first. During that first stay I had to manually push the door of the elevator all the way open so it would then close and operate properly. I am a Gold Level Holiday Inn... more

Everything about this hotel cries out to stay there but its closeness to the interstate ruins an otherwise beautiful hotel. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Not enough pillows but what hotel does have enough. The only fault and this is a major one is the closeness to Interstate 10. During the afternoon the road noise is not noticeable but... more

The room was nice and large with a small sofa, the king size bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was huge and the best part was the full size mirrors!! I actually was able to see my whole outfit! The iron and ironing board came in handy and I didn't have to request it, since it was already in the... more

I found this Holiday Inn Express to be well below the standards of the usual HIExpress. The bed was not the same as usual...rather hard and uncomfortable, leaving me with an aching back. Front desk and breakfast room staff left a bit to be desired in the friendliness/helpfulness department. The place is obviously a remodel from some earlier motel. Outside... more

Clean. Room was quiet but still had the inevitable noise from the nearby Interstate. Room amenities were generally very good, with the TV and the carpet not the same quality. Upmarket bed linen, with the pillowcases embroidered with "Firm", "Medium" and "Soft"! The only real complaint, other than the price ($119+$10 tax) was outside noise. Cars park right outside the... more

We booked this room for the Stevie Nicks Concert at Fantasy Springs. We asked for a smoking room when making our reservations. Upon arrival I have to say that when greeted at the time of check in, the lady at the counter could of been a bit more customer service friendly. My husband and I are both smokers, if we... more

We had easy parking for our RV, clean room, friendly staff, and breakfast. The breakfast gave you a selection of eggs, yogurt, cereal, etc. The price of the room was very good, approx. $85.00 per room. I would stay there again. more

Booked this as we like Holiday Inn Express. The lobby and breakfast area were clean and attractive. Staff was helpful and informative regarding dining and activities. The room was spacious, attractive and very clean, as was the bathroom (a MUST in my book). Room amentities were all in fine shape and working order. They were out cleaning the pool area... more

I usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express in Cathedral City...but this one had a much lower rate and I needed to be in Indio anyway, so I booked here. I was dissapointed to find that this was a motel (my employer prefers that we DON'T stay in motels with doors facing outside), however, I had a reservation, so I... more

It was already past sundown and we were tired. We stopped here as it was a Holiday Inn Express. However, it was too close to I-10 and the trucks wizzing by at 70 plus made it rather noisey so we bit the bullet and put up with it. I don't think it was originally a Holiday Inn Express and could... more

Our stay at this hotel was just okay, and I would not stay at this hotel again. The lobby looked better than the room, although, the bathroom was pretty nice. We stayed at this hotel recently, booked in for 4 nights after seeing other reviews, but decided to check out after one night as it was far from satisfactory. This is really a motel, in a very unattractive location, in our opinion it is only suitable for a 1 night transit stop. It is near a very busy (and noisy)... more

Very nice place. I stayed here to go to the Riverside County Fair. It's off by itself so you do need a car, but if you're driving it's a great location. Everything was clean and nicely done. The staff were very helpful and friendly and gave me great local directions. more
