So I'm doing my coachella band homework cause there are soooo many bands on the lineup but so far these 2 bands have got me goin...

Proxy:
I'm really digging! I'm excited to see him on friday! I've been spinning his stuff and remixes too like crazy.

and then I discovered

The XX:
WOW! I really really like them! Like I can just close my eyes n drift off. I know, I know, waaaay dif from proxy.

But I've been going from their cd to whatever singles n remixes proxy has. Ha i haven't even made it to sundays groups yet. Anyone else doing homework?

i haven't even finished getting thru Friday's line-up yet (which is the weakest day in my personal opinion), but i'm generally not fond of electronic "dance" music (i.e. almost anything in the Sahara) or the nerdy indie rock that's been so popular lately... i think the only band i've discovered (on Friday so far) is the Whitest Boy Alive.

Stupidly I got tickets to see The XX in Vancouver on April 13th, before I realised they are on the Coachella bill

I love xx's album.. but the thought of seeing them live just sounds terribly boring. As much as I love their record, depending on the set times, I might skip them.

their album is fantastic, havent stopped listening for the past 4 months butsaw the xx at a 200 person capacity venue in chicago in december and they are extremely chill. i cant imagine their music will translate that well outdoors.

That's not stupid. I purposely see bands I know will be at Coachella - helps with conflict resolution. And the XX will probably get a 50 minute set tops at Coachella.

I'm making a chart thingy to help with my homework. Anyone's free to use it if they want.

P.O.S., if you haven't heard of him, is an amazing rapper. He's who I'm most excited for over the weekend.
