I love Garbage. Felt like the 90s ended when they released their last album (yes, I am aware it was released in 2005).

Moar Garbage!

lol Amyzzz... I like a lot of bands, just different ones than you all talk about. More mainstream I guess. I know... THE HORROR.

But I am learning. My sister made me a bunch of cd's of Coachella artists. So far I am digging Muse and LCD Soundsystem. There are a few others I am interested in seeing live to further my knowledge. :)

I was forced to listen to a lot of Garbage in my dorm while waiting for some asshole's Laserdisc player to load up Lair of the White Worm or whatever the fuck else they were releasing on Laserdisc in the past when things were terrible and Garbage made music.

Version 2.0 is their best record.

I spent many days in high school skipping class in the bathroom listening to garbage cassingles on my walkman. Shit. I'm old.

I remember watching Garbage live for the first time in the middle of June In AZ, sweat dripping off poor Shirley Manson in her tight tank top....

I got to see Garbage on their first tour. Great show & a very humble band @ least @ that time they were. Shirley was very very friendly to me. If I had played my cards right I could've probably made my way to the tour bus. Butch was very cool. My friend was picking his brain about the production work on Nevermind. Butch just freely asked every question about effects & other production secrets that he used on the album. My unworn autographed shirt still hangs in my closet.

I am happy to saw I saw Garbage's first show ever at 7th St Entry in Mpls. I was third in line and was right up front and center. Shirley even rubbed my head. It was such an awesome show and it was a fucking cold november night in that line.

i can think of two reasons i would like to see her without her shirt on.

I'm legitimately curious as to what those could be, Alex, considering that she has absolutely no tits.

Still a fine piece though.

one, she's wearing a peta shirt in the above picture.

two, very small tits or not, i want to see what lurks beneath.

I had the maddest crush on Shirley Manson back in the day. Still kinda do.

That being said, their debut and Version 2.0 were fantastic records.

JorgeC

all they're records were fantastic (yes, even BG!), but i'd give the edge to V2.0. It also had all the best videos: Push It and I Think I'm Paranoid.

Considering she never ever wore a bra, you could probably get a good idea even with her shirt on.

I liked Garbage. I probably haven't listened to their music very much in the last decade but I met them and saw them early on the Version 2.0 tour and they were decent. Shirley is really short. I recently deleted them off of my ipod. That's all I got.

I used to be so into Shirley, but I never really liked what I saw without her makeup. And I don't think she is aging too well.

Still, I would be interested in a new album/tour.

I'm positive at one of the Beautiful Garbage shows I saw, she was wearing a white tank top (no bra) and once she started sweating enough, there was really nothing left to the imagination.

she's definitely older, but still freaking gorgeous. Her acting in that Terminator show was so brutal though I lost wood.

I enjoyed Beautiful Garbage quite a bit. I never minded all of the production and was actually drawn to a lot of it considering I was taking recording classes and such around that time. I think all of their records are good, they just never got a whole lot of recognition, much like the Cardigans.

They are a fantastic live band as well. Shirley is very charismatic and charming.

Last time I saw them was.....2005?

They played Street Scene that year and then came back for their own tour. Excellent show.

As a sad little alternative rock loving queer boy, I was absolutely obsessed with Garbage when I was like 12. I still listen to their first two albums occasionally for nostalgia's sake. I never got to see them live, so I'd probably watch them at a festival in a no major conflicts situation, but I don't know if I'd actually pay to see them.

i thought they had been playing shows lately? maybe i am dreaming.

edit: i was wrong, it was nina persson, not the cardigans. meh.

No, the Cardigans have sort of been inactive since '05 when they put out Super Extra Gravity. They were supposed to tour the states around that time and were going to play here at like a 350 person club and I was incredibly excited, and then they canceled the tour. Since then Nina has been doing her solo project A Camp. I think the rest of the band is just hanging out at home in Sweden.

Edit:

The last show they played was in Sep. of '06.
