He looks exactly like my friend Victor... unless you ARE Victor.

Anyways- RxBandits put on an AMAZING show. I saw them a while back in Pomona with Portugal. The Man. One of the best shows I have ever been to. I advise you potsmokers and revolutionaries to check 'em out.

I'm curious as to whether they play some of their early 3rd wave ska tracks these days.

I sincerely doubt it.

They rarely even play anything before 2003. No horns anymore.

I find that insincere.

Scenes change, but artistic credibility is important.

I've seen them too many times to count since 2001 and have had fun seeing them evolve over the years. While I do miss some Progress songs, especially Infection as a closer, I like their newer stuff better. Although I don't think I've actually heard Mandala yet so I'll have to check that out. I'll be watching these guys if they don't conflict with anyone too badly. I've seen them so many times that it won't kill me to miss them.

Ps are they still on Drive-Thru?

and the battle begun has to be my favorite album by them anyone who hasnt heard them please get that record as soon as you can. i saw them 8 months ago and they mostly just played shit of mandala the rest were and the battle.. songs and i think serpents chase was the only "oldish" song they played

saw them last year and in o7 and will be seeing them next month cuz they're coming to tucson. they have a ridiculous live show, and they do still have a trumpet player, or at least they did when i saw them last, and they played some old shit, which is some of the best. they closed with overcome last time i saw them cuz the crowd was chanting the opening lines while they were backstage, fucking amazing. i do like mandala, mientras la veo sonar being the one of the best.

I love you.

RxB @ Coachella has been my dream...and now it is realized. :)

and no they're not on Drive-Thru anymore, they HATED their time there...really didn't fit on that pop punk label anyway. They're on Sargent House Records now...coincidentally quite an amazing label.

im glad they're not on drive thru anymore. i feel bad for any band who is. that used to be my favorite label before i realized what douchebags the reineses are.

yeah anytime RXB discusses their time there or references anything back then they say "the label we were on" or something like that, but never really say 'Drive Thru'. They hated it.

their online store finally has Progress up for sale, (their 2000 cd), and on the page there they mention that they never received any money off of sales of it during the time they were on Drive thru. So yeah they're bitter.

I remember seeing these guys as a little 7th grader in 1997 - songs like "Teenage Idol" - great ska back then, and I love how they've evolved with the times just like my musical tastes have. They put on a spectacular live show - last time I saw them was in 2006 or 07 - and always have a bunch of kids out there who know every word to the songs. Great add by Goldenvoice!

FUCK YAH! I have had the priviledge of seeing these guys when they first started playing at a little shack like place called the Epicentre in Mira Mesa, CA. They are hands down a GREAT live performance. They should be hire on the bill if yah ask me. If you have nothing to do, you MUST give them a look. You won't regret it and will probably end up buying their cd after their show.

GO SEE RX BANDITS!!
