What happens if I lose my festival wristband?

Ouch, you will have to buy another one or you won't be able to get back into the venue to see bands and you WILL be escorted off the event grounds.....and beat up...most likely

Seriously? I guess I can understand the logic, but seems kind of harsh.

I can just see it now....

I HEARING SOMETIME THAT IN AMERICAN THINGS OCCUR LIKE MAYBE A GUYS WITH SCISSORS STEAL WRISTBANDS WHILE THEY DANCING SO FAST. I WOULD HATE TO LOST MY WRISTBAND SO PLZ NO ONE PLZ DANCE SO FAST WITH SCISSORS.

I know. I suck at humor.

I snickered.

Is it that hard to not take off a wristband? 15,000 campers have been doing it for years.

yeah, man. if the festival wristbands are anything like the camping wristbands, they're fucking indestructible. I'm willing to bet that if you tied the camping wristband to a rope tied to a car and had the driver speed off, the wristband would take your hand clean off before it'd snap. like, don't even try using shitty scissors to cut it off when you get home. jaws of life, motherfuckin'... chuck norris of wristbands.

some kind of super resilient bio-plastic composite resin shit. developed over fifteen years of intense experimentation and failed experiments on the faces of michael jackson and joan rivers

probably cloth this year...and the plastic slide can destroy the band if you try and slide it off, shit has teeth.

He's right folks. It was called "Project Leather". Rumor has it that GV was able to purchase a signifigant skin graft from the late Michael Jackson's face. I can't wait to see the wristbands!

On the real, I have yet to find a wristband that i couldn't remove, and then reattach unnoticed.
Be crafty, walk in with confidence ;)

I'm glad they're doing ins and outs. I'm not really into the wristband thing. I would at least like the option of getting a new wristband on the next day. I usually stay at a hotel in town, and I've noticed that the locals aren't too keen on the festival goers sometimes. So wearing the clear mark that I am indeed a festival goer may mean I get that look everywhere I go-- that "you don't belong here" look that I've become familiar with in my years of attending events.

I hope you are not referring to Palm Springs. We depend on tourism for our economy & love everyone to stay here. If anyone looks at you funny, it's because most everyone is so old here, and they are just jealous when they see a young whipper-snapper. Go ahead & put "Coachella" slogans on your car windows. We love tourists. The only danger is that you'll love it here & want stay & then you'll have to go to Coachella every year & eventually become old like me & be jealous of all the young whipper-snappers. Life comes full circle. Ha.

1. locals won't be awake when you're leaving the festival

2. cover it with a watch

3. the locals are gonna know whether you're wearing a wristband or not.. we've never had wristbands for the fest before, and they've always known.. unless you're 65 years old and driving a bmw, they'll know..

4. the new cloth ones will be far less noticeable than the old shiny gloss camping wristbands

Every person entering festival area, including camp sites, must have a festival pass. A festival pass is ONE wristband for the entire weekend.

If you get really paranoid about it, you can always put on a jacket at which will cover your wrist, or invest in those wrist sweat band things, and just tuck your wristband underneath it. It's how I'm going to keep wearing mine after I return to school from my "sick (insert relative's name here)" hospital visit.

Is a 3-day pass three separate tickets?

No. It is one ticket that you exchange for one wristband that is good for the entire weekend.

The only you're gonna lose your wristband is if you try some sneaky shit like taking it off to give it someone else.

Otherwise, just don't get your hand chopped off and it won't be a problem.

lol, I always tell my teachers the first day of the spring semester that either my sister is getting married and I'm the maid of honor [or] that I simply have plans and wont be in class that day. Teachers generally dig when you're upfront about it and offer to take any tests early

this will reduce scalping, and should make people who are wanting to only go, let's say friday, easily be able to sell their wristband, which can't be faked by scalpers, since they won't know what they look like in enough advance, and every single person will have one on their wrist, so you'll be able to tell if it's a legit one..

For 362 days of the year I have to drive among people who shouldn't be licenesed to drive anything faster than a golfball, or stand in long lines shopping because the whole damn family of 12 needs to go get milk., and of course those that make certain I know I'm the minority here...I say, wear your festival band proudly because it probably had something to do with a bridge built over a flood zone, or a street widened to accomodate that family of 12 when they start driving. Fuck the locals! This is my 3 days of balancing out the ignorance that I deal with the rest of the year!
