Coachella always has some groups/artists I've never heard of and I'll google them to check out their sounds.

Don't know how famous or non-famous these acts would be considered.. but all 3 put on amazing shows:
Friday: Ra Ra Riot
Saturday: White Rabbits
Sunday: MATT & KIM (I've seen them 3 times and they are absolutely incredible each time)

Recommend you catch some King Khan on YouTube or something before you give it a try live. Sounded really fun to me, until I saw it.
Nothing against these preferences... it just looked like a train wreck to me.

Everybody's made pretty good suggestions except for this.
Ra Ra Riot are incredibly boring live. And Matt & Kim might be fun for a few songs, I saw them open for a band last year, but they're so energetic and gleefully happy that it gets annoying after about 10 minutes.

Ohh Def! I'm doing that now actually. Just good to get a heads up on some acts on where to start. I found some pretty kool bands from festivals. But i wanna go all 3 days and have an idea of what bands I already wanna see but will def have time for some others I don't know about.
