View Full Version : With In and Out Privileges, is tailgating ok?

I am just wondering if they will be patrolling the parking lot making people pour out beers and other shit cops love to do to people having a good time. This also applies to grills and the like. Nothing would make me happier than running out grabbing a couple beers and a burger and then heading back in, but I don't want to be 16 again drinking between cars with a look out. Anyone know about this?

wait till the 2010 website launches, maybe they will cover that.

I'm guessing there will be random harassment of tailgaters by security and/or police. Campers may have increased freedom, but I doubt that will apply to single day parking lots. So keep it on the downlow if you choose to tailgate.

Edit: Listen to PF.

Tailgating is illegal in CA (at least the drinking portion), but it happens all the time. It's really up the security if they feel like enforcing it.

Tailgating is illegal? What about football games and stuff? Do they just look away for our benefit?

yeah, pretty much. Unless there is some stipulation that includes parking lots as private property and thus it's okay to drink, but I can't imagine that's the case because there is no way to regulate underage drinking laws.

In what universe would you need to know in the next 30 seconds whether you'll be allowed to eat burgers and drink in the parking lot of an event that's happening in 3 months? I'm sure the website will be updated soon. Holy cow. (no pun intended)

i don't need to know right now..

i was asking about a future date of when we would know.. jeez

and some of us need to go purchase things for camping, and with the new rules, everything is changing, so i'd like to get started on that as soon as i can.. and i can't until we know what's allowed..

with new things brings new things so wait till the new site is launched then send a new set of questions to info@coachella.com and a new set of FAQs will be born.

okay..
i'm not bitching, i was just asking if you were allowed to tell us, or knew of, a date..
just because it's coming from me, doesn't mean it's an asshole question :)

but i'll save my questions, i don't like that everyone is giving all the scenarios for you guys to build rules around.. i'd rather get the rules first, then come up with the brilliant ideas..lol

if i know and im allowed to say or if its supposed to be publicized, it will be. if its not, i will play dumb and it wont be posted so its really pointless to even ask

In this case, I get more concerned about how it may affect the health of her avatar though...

I love living in Australia.
drinking in public is illegal.... unless you're having a BBQ or picnic, I love getting sloshed in the park on a sunday afternoon :)
If we get done I'll just say I thought it was legal, it is back home mwahahahaha

If it is, I'll be popping out from time to time to steal beers and hot dogs. Thanks in advance!
