Sweet! I am going to see Bjork twice this year. Almost makes up for never seeing her until now. Almost.

Can't book all the same acts. Coachella tries to be unique.

Hmm, the article at popmatters (http://www.popmatters.com/pm/news/article/11605/sasquatch-music-festival-schedule-unveiled/) says that there will be over 50 bands but I only count 35. They're probably waiting for Boards of Canada to get back to them.

Pitchfork is saying that this is indeed a preliminary lineup. And they're doing it carbon neutral. Sweet! (http://www.pitchforkmedia.com/article/news/41271/Sasquatch_Arcade_Fire_Bjork_M_I_A_Interpol_)

Sasquatch is very different than Coachella, but since I live in Washington I go each year and enjoy it. Be forewarned: prepare for every kind of weather. Last year we got hail the size of golfballs, and the year before my friend got heat stroke. (I Saw Ghostland Observatory earlier this year - fantastic show! I anticipate more greatness!)

Love how that picture on popmatters makes it look like the grass is a big flat Coachella-like surface.

Nice, I would definitely go to this if I lived in the area. Especially because of the Beastie Boys and Spoon.

Meh, last year's was way better. Each day has a handful of solid acts, but overall nothing exciting.

it would be great if Coachella could do something like that.

Where's the Canadian draw? Last year was the Tragically Hip. Bring down groups like Metric or Tegan and Sara. Or hell, bring back Sam Roberts so he can actually perform rather than being cancelled due to hail. Hoping more acts will be announced soon.

this is like a combination of coachella and roo artists..with the exception of beasties. i'm sure theyll add a few big names that differ from the other lineups.

Kudos to Coachella for knowing which acts not to book because they knew what all of the other festivals were going to book.

Kudos to Coachella for knowing which acts not to book because they knew what all of the other festivals were going to book.

I always wondered if GV paid certain bands extra not to play at any other "specific" festivals, like the Roo.

Both Coachella and Bonnaroo practice this ie Radiohead's exclusive festival appearence at Bonnaroo last year.

Maybe this year, I won't be woken up by drunken Canucks singing 'O Canada' at 4am.

I dont see why they wouldnt count it, but I cant think of anything that is going to emmit methane that will be at Sasquatch (nonetheless any other festival). If people are using natural gas there will be by products of methane (CO2 and water) that could potentially be counted.

Pitchfork is saying that this is indeed a preliminary lineup. And they're doing it carbon neutral. Sweet!

But remember - this is the same Pitchfork that said this about our lineup for Coachella '07 was
And this is apparently just the "preliminary" lineup!

And maybe it would've been if Rage mania hadn't swept up all tickets in a frenzy.

I think anyone who went to Sasquatch last year were spoiled with the crazy lineup they had last year. Beck, Death Cab, Ben Harper, NIN, Queens of the Stone Age, The Hip, Matisyahu, Arctic Monkeys, etc. So many well knowns and some just becoming popular. This year just seems lacking a certain something. Maybe the ownership transition has something to do with it.

the fuckin Beastie Boys are gonna be there, and Bad Brains! What are you complaining about? There are alot of up and coming bands there, true, its lacking some big big names...but it still has Manu Chao, MIA, Arcade Fire, Silversun Pickups will be there.
