Would be a nice add. Haven't seen them since they played London with Gorkys a few years ago.

I saw that too, they could easily top over interpol or arcade fire or arctic monkeys.

No way, Yo La Tengo is infinitely better than AM, and rivals Interpol, but nowhere near as big as either.

what are some good Yo La Tengo albums?

ALL OF THEM.

Sorry, I know that wasn't particularly helpful. But they're all really good! Personally, I like I Can Hear the Heart Beating as One the best. I think they put out a greatest hits sort of compilation set out a couple years ago, too. That might be a good place to start.

My question is, if they were going to play, why wouldn't they have announced it when they announced their tour? It's not like they're as big of an add as Daft Punk or Massive Attack or Kanye West to be a "big time" late addition.

"I'm not afraid of you and I will beat your ass" is not only one of the coolest album titles but is one of the coolest albums PERIOD. One of my favs from last year! If they are added it will be a MUST SEE for me!!!

but according to NME arcade is the greatest band in the world :p

And we all know that NME always tells the truth.

Yo La Tengo would come in on the 3rd line between DJ Shadow and Peeping Tom. There's no way they're bigger than Sonic Youth, who are on the 3rd line. I'm not sure they're gonna get added though, I think Morrissey is gonna be your man for the Friday add, coming up right below Bjork and bumping the Arctic Monkeys off that second line.

hesitant to post this but if it helps get Yo La Tengo added...

My buddy exchanged emails with Ira after we saw them in Vancouver. He asked Ira why they never play Coachella. Here's a snippet of the reply.

"We have never been asked to play at Coachella, actually. We would consider it if they would consider us."

Go get em GV. Seen em three times and each one was better than the last.

their newest one actually wouldn't be a bad one to start with.

my personal faves are Painful and Electropura.
