The best thing about the Create a Festival contest is the paranoia and hurt feelings it creates. Some of the stuff that people wrote last year was absolutely priceless. I would love to see it repeated again.

I would like to state for the record that I will NOT be voting for anyone EVER so don't send me pretty little PM's begging for my support.

Yeah possibly, I don't know, maybe not, not sure yet.

I second this. It's probably more fun watching from the sidelines. Can you guys please have this contest again?

Doesn't that happen...everywhere on here?

Edit: if it happens on a larger scale, then I say bring it.

Truth is, yes I've thought about it, but haven't put that much thought in getting things up and running (though I would think, the sooner the better, have it over with before Coachella obviously). But I still need to come up with some new rules, review last years rules, see what worked and what didn't...I think it would be cool if everyone who participated had different headliners...meaning no repeat acts within the three headliners between any of the fests. Obviously this would lead one to think that people will try to nab Radiohead, Bowie, or Prince as fast as they could, and would offer an advantage to any festival that was able to nab one of those.

But for now, I'm too busy to put things together...I have two websites for my uncle to make and get up and running before New Years, a site for my sister to make while she's here over break, plus some other things on the agenda that take priority.

People should vote based on the merit of the whole festival, not just whether they were lucky and got Bowie

Problem is you can't control how people will and can vote...I would hope they look at the entire festival as a whole and consider everything before voting, and I'm sure some do....but there are people who send mass PM's, beg for people to get on their side, and create feuds between old and nu-board people on voting lines....it gets really nasty actually.

I wouldn't mind having 32 shitty posters to make fun of again.

I'm just saying if everyone wants to have Bowie, Talking Heads and Radiohead they should be able to, it makes it more fair. But yeah that whole PM begging is ridiculous and I wouldn't want to participate in that aspect.

Maybe you can force everyone to have the same three headliners, making it all about the undercard.

Fun contest and all, but a majority of all of the lineups are the same.

Some of them are creative ideas. But a majority of them are all wishlists on poster.

The last contest was the best. My favorite part was the controversial ending and how, after the contest ended, PF mocked the winner for campaigning for votes.

I am going to bow out of making posters this year. It's usually kind of a hassle. Well not even usually, it always is. So yeah. If you ask, I am afraid I will have to pass.
