Chaplipman, please explain the difference between Rap and Hip Hop. Anyone else is welcome to give their explanation as well.

I consider rap to be part of hip hop. Hip hop culture is composed of rapping(MCing), DJing, grafitti and break dancing. So while not all of hip hop is comprised of just rap, I would consider most rap to be described and encompased by hip hop.

Maybe I'm just being a picky prick.

Snoop Dogg feat. Warren G, Nate Dogg, Kurupt - "Ain't No Fun"

It's for some reason every white girl's favorite rap song, no matter how offensive. I guess I just associate it with several different parties/dance floors so it always makes me happy when I hear it.

Rapping is something you do vocally, Hip Hop is the genre of music. In comparison to Metal, this is what the original post said, "I'm talking about Scream, not Metal. Although I suppose it's alright if the song has a scream feel."

Some people say that "rap songs" are different from hip hop songs because "rap songs" are harder to dance to, and they're more raw, angry and negative. However, those people are wrong.

rap = vocal method. hip hop = genre.

AMG, a true fucking G in the game. His solo shit was funny, but it sounded kind of repetitive. He always kills it when he is rapping with DJ Quik

50 Cent and "Best Rap Song Ever" should never be in the same sentence.

I used to think like that until like 6 months ago, I never really gave his shit a fair chance. I just recently was in a situation where the only cd I had was his first album. I dont know about the rest of his shit but his first album is actually really good. Like really good. He is kind of funny, says some witty shit.

Gotta give it up for this beat at least.
