Apparently we can now create different discussions within the social group. I don't know, Ivy. My world is turned upside down too.

There are social groups?

go to "User CP"

then click "Social Groups", which is one of the links on the left hand side. you have to request to become a member of the group before you can post though.

It's because the board updated to the latest version of the forum software, and in that update, Social Groups are now treated like seperate forum/threads, instead of just a "wall" to post stuff on. So now you can have mulitple discussions and topics going on at once inside a social group. So that's why you see "create new discussion", because that is basically like starting a new thread in your social group....but because of that, the posts that are made in those discussions are shown from oldest to latest just like the threads on the main board. You can goto your account > options and select oldest to latest, or latest to oldest as a way to view posts, but that will apply to all threads (both in social groups, and in the main forum). Make sense?

Being a moderator of a social group is fun. Devin posted something in my group, so I deleted the fucker.

But you still can't insert pics or links in your posts. When is that going to happen?

Yeah for whatever reason, Vbulletin made it so BB Code isn't allowed within social groups (even though there are options to enable it! - so wtf????). Very strange.

If we get tired of more than half of the people on this board, could we conceivably use the social groups area to create a new board of sorts? Now that we can start discussions/threads, it might actually work.
