Who is the best U.S. President of all time?

My vote is for George Washington, and not just because he was first - (1) he set the precident of Presidents limiting terms (he refused to run for a third term, despite his insane popularity), (2) he refused to declare himself as a member of a political party, feeling that political parties were harmful to the political process. The guy was great.

Lincoln was great, too, of course. So was FDR. What does everyone else think?

Besides Lincoln's horrible mistake of choosing Johnson as VP for his second term, his leadership was superb. I say Lincoln.

I have a lot of respect for Madison, but I always felt it was dumb on his part for the war of 1812.
