Coachella shuts down at 12:00 am usually and the only ones that really run over are headliners and I really doubt Whigs would be a headliner

I saw The Afghan Whigs play a show back in their early 90's heyday (with The Breeders and Guided by Voices, when Ohio was looking like the next Seattle), and it was one of the loudest shows I've ever seen. Thundering, powerful stuff. A year later I met Dulli at the traveling version of Lollapalooza. He was in the audience watching Nick Cave. I didn't have anything decent for him to sign, so I've got his signature on a dollar bill. He – in any of his iterations – would be a great addition next year.

Well, one of my own personal most-wanted acts seems unlikely unless the festival is relocated to a venue somewhere between Poland and Greece: http://www.thetwilightsingers.com/tour/ But at least I can take solace in knowing that Dulli, like Paul before him, will be preaching to the Thessalonians.
