So who's headlining? Paisley, Chesney, McGraw or Straight? We know it will be 1-2 of those 4, that's a given in the Country world. Like you ever notice that every 3 weeks when there is some type of Country Music Awards show on, the same 4 people are up for top vocalist, performer, and album every time?

Also, I saw Merle Haggard once and would pay cash money to see him again.

Merle Haggard is a good choice. I think it would be cool if they got Roger McQuinn and Arlo Guthrie too.

Also, this doesn't guarantee that Coachella will be held the previous weekend. Yes I know how it has gone in the past, but things also change from year to year, just sayin...

It can't be the weekend after. They use the Coachella campgrounds for the RV campgrounds at stagecoach. How pissed would every one be to get to the campgrounds and see the grass all messed up from all the RVs driving all over it.

So should we start an ''official 2010 dates'' thread?

and a lot of the grass on the fields is dead from coach, which gives Stage a kinda sawdust look in the tents.. goes good with all the haystacks in the sahara..

Actually it does, because they keep most of the stages, large artwork, and vending sections up for Stagecoach. The weekends they choose in April vary from year to year but it's always Coachella one weekend and Stagecoach the next.

psycobetabuckdown
09-23-2009, 11:55 PM
it was also "always" 2 days, and "always" the last weekend of April, until 2007 and 2009, respectively.

But yeah, in this case I can't see how they wouldn't have them in consecutive weeks. Doesn't make much sense unless they have a new festival in between Coachella and Stagecoach

i've been saying this for 2 years.. a classic rock festival between the two would be awesome.. esp since stagecoach kept leaning that way for awhile..

i still think this is the worst lineup for Stagecoach ever.. even if there are smaller adds to come

Does the same person who designs the Coachella poster also design the Stagecoach poster? Because jezze... that is an awful poster.

But yes. The Avetts will 100% be at Coachella. Maybe Merle Haggard too. But the Avett Brothers for sure.

It makes sense, ABC daytime had a whole area devoted to Soap Operas...meeting the stars, autographs, posters, shirts, etc.

It's amazing, they already have the day by day line up posted..

Is Coachella disorganized or do they just like people to suffer by waiting forever for annoucements?

isn't it a reworked version of last year's poster?

Merle Haggard & Oak Ridge Boys are so low on the day-by-day lineup it's embarrassing.. (yes, i understand that it's also fairly lined up by stage, and the oldies act is always the "sahara" headliner..), but the lineup still sucks compared to the last three.. and i don't give a shit about headliners at Stagecoach, i've been every year and never seen a single one (well, i did catch a few minutes of The Eagles on the one three-day year, but that's it; of course, i've only ever seen one headliner each year at Coachella in the last three years as well, so..)

dude what happend to Toyota as the sponsor? ABC?? yuck..

ABC was a sponsor last year.. and to see the ridiculous stuff Toyota brought to the fest last year, it's really no loss..

Reverend Horton Heat really should have been the crossover act.

And Ryan Brigham played in '09. Granted, he was on the Stagecoach '08 line up... but still. Kind of a crossover.

And I still think the Avett Brothers will be at Coachella. They played Coachella 07 and were a huge hit, they just released their major record label debut (and 6th album) and their tour dates allow for it.

Ryan Bingham played stagecoach & coachella in '09..
i'm not saying he didn't play in '08, but he did play in '09

& Reverend Horton Heat was really good..
