http://thrillpier.blogspot.com/ because it's witty and talks about some great offbeat stuff near me that would otherwise go under my radar, and http://thetorturegarden.blogspot.com because it covers a great range of stuff I love and pairs it with some brilliantly chosen photography. And also sometimes I do bits and pieces for it.

The Doledrums (http://thedoledrums.blogspot.com) is a fantastic blog with tons of Kiwi rock. Some of it has gone down recently because of record labels, but quite a few of the links still work, and there's some great stuff there.

http://palmsout.blogspot.com used to be good for DJ remixes, samples, etc, but Google put the fear in them, and their site has suffered greatly.

http://mutant-sounds.blogspot.com/ is still the best blog on the internet if you like weird, obscure, mostly out of print music from a wide span of times and locations. I've downloaded 126GB of shit off of there, 99% of it I've never heard of before, and that was all downloaded prior to a year ago, so I'm sure there's probably been another 100GB uploaded since then.

Photographer based out of the LA area. So its a blog for live shows based around the La and SD area. Some of you I'm sure you know or came across. Wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't come on these boards.

Here are two of my friend's blogs:

Brooklyn-based Scissorkick has a lot of good down tempo and electronic stuff, check out his podcast, the scissokast; it's packed with good stuff.

Boston-based Aurgasm has multiple contributers around the world; I tend to go here to find music that doesnt always make it to U.S. markets

www.stereogum.com is a favorite of mine, not sure if it qualifies as an actual blog or not.

It's got great information, is very up-to-date (although the posters seem to take weekends off), and one could spend hours being entertained solely by the snarky hipster comments. That's really the best part about it.

Stereogum was awesome for the first couple years when it was actually Scott writing and posting. Then he hired bloggers and sold it to VH1 and it's just the same content as every other blog and music feed out there, now.

It's owned by VH1?!? Ewww.

I don't know the full extent of the deal, but he had a bunch of their Best Week Ever staff working for him and vice versa.

edit: Wiki says that in 2006, Scott allowed the Pilot Group to invest in Stereogum. Pilot Group is run by Bob Pittman who created/owned MTV/VH1, among a ton of other things.

This isn't really a blog (it's not updated), but it's a blast to go through and listen and download whatever you like.
