Third Man Records has a fan club type thing (http://pitchfork.com/news/35820-jack-white-launches-subscription-service/): $20 a month, you get limited vinyl releases, t-shirts, online content, contests etc etc... Got me thinking: which bands/artists do you like enough to shell out $$ every month for whatever they are willing to shovel at you? If Coachella had one (sort of like a super powered layaway plan; tickets plus freebies and you pay them every month of the year) would you opt in?

I also think its funny that the press release and Pitchfork is rubbing a new media/model shine on what is basically a fan club. Hell, Frank Sinatra had a fan club....

I joined the Third Man Records one 'cause I have never had a bad time at a show jack white was a part of, and because he seems to have a feel for the joy of tactile and unique music related experiences; physical media, merchandise, live shows. I have the white stripes usb drives for example and think they are neato.

Aside from that I would prob shell out for _________ subscription plan:

1. Radiohead
2. Coachella
3. ????? hmm....
