So what do you think.

I know punk and music festivals don't mesh well, but this would be badass

Punk meshes with all that understand it.

I support a visit from the kids.

All for it. They seem to bring a throwback punk band every year, bring'em.

They had X this past year. That's pretty close. I'd really like to see a visit from The Germs, but that just ain't possible. :(

I approve of punk at Coachella.

On Sunday the Mojave tent was basically punk all day:

^ I saw Toots at Outside Lands and he ripped it. Hearing him cover Otis Redding's "I Got Dreams to Remember" is one of my top 10 concert moments

It could happen, but just wouldn't be the same without Darby

The Specials, Madness, The Selector, The English Beat (Dave with Rankin' Rodger) or Bad Manners would all be amazing, too. Even The Bosstones or Fishbone would be radical.

My friend saw Guttermouth in 08. Did they break up since then? Also, he said it was the worst fucking show he has ever been in his entire life. He said the bands sucked and the lead singer was a complete and total asshole both onstage and offstage.

Were you around in 08? I don't think Coachella is ever going to try and book Madness again after that. :( Makes me sad. With that being said, I think The Specials are pretty much a lock for next year.

guttermouth shows back in the day were some of the craziest experiences i have ever been involved in, i'm talking mid to late 90's, haven't really seen them for a loooong time. he used to have the crowd spit on him, he'd open his mouth and everything, shit was hanging all over, fucked up. the pits were insane and the shows were just plain fun. he became an acquaintance over time and many shows and was always cool...he was a dick at times, but a lot of the time it was just show shtick.

Agreed. The last time I saw Guttermouth was in 98 and the show was fun as hell.

I'd be for this. Milo's voice has held up really well (see the 'Merican EP from 2004). I'd be thrilled if this could happen, but I don't foresee it in Coachella's future. I also can't imagine that Milo would love singing songs from his younger perspective too much.
