So I've been to Coachella twice so far and they seem to have had a token metal band (Serj and Mastadon) both times I have been thus far. I understand Mastadon has some talent but Serj no Im sorry thats just bad. I say if they have another token metal spot they give it to GWAR. They but on a fun live show and have some talent.

I don't think GWAR would play coachella? It's not the Jerry Springer show and that's not really their type of crowd. You saw how much a waste of money Throbbing Gristle was and GWAR would be worse than that.

And how much money did they "throw away" on Throbbing Gristle?

I fully support GWAR at Coachella.

They should chill the blood so its all cool and refreshing when it hits you. Like an evil do-lab.

recently Gwar has been doing the mid-day slot every year for the Sounds of The Underground touring fest, where they get huge crowds, so it makes very little sense for them to do something like Coachella

I knew someone would get all upset about that? you must have been one of the 50 people in the crowd.

you still didn't answer the question

for all you know they gave Throbbing Gristle a box of Cracker Jack's

jusbcus25

giving them a box of cracker jacks would even be a little much. not my taste of music. I just think its a bunch of noise. Didn't pull a crowd and in my eyes makes it a waste of money.

Throbbing Gristle was the furthest thing from a waste of money. If they had been playing against anyone but The Cure or MBV, the mojave would have been packed. Throbbing Gristle were absolutely incredible as well.

I actually didn't watch them. Just because it's not your type of music that doesn't mean it was a waste.

And who gives a fuck how many people watched them? A lot of people watched The Killers. I guess that makes them amazing.

Killers suck too, but was by far a better investment. I bet you thought they were a waste now didn't you?

It's just extremely weak to label something a waste of money simply because you don't care for it.

Except in this case GWAR would indeed be a total waste of money

Since I would waste none of my time checking them out in the least, I'd rather not have them there. But then again, if they were it'd be one less conflict for me.

I was nearly hit by a golfcart carrying Oderus Urungus (Gwar's Lead Singer) at Bonnaroo. I went for a high five, he just growled and rolled away.

I like the old school punkish style of this poster. It was an ok show, the on stage show has really toned down over the years. Last time I saw them was when ever the last Sounds of The Underground tour was and it just seemed to be more raunchy then it did last night.
