Hello Board.

My name is Andrew. I am in a band called The Tet Holiday. We have just released our second EP (and first EP that isn't a collection of demos). We would love for you to download it from the link below. The package includes VBR mp3, art, and our boundless ambition:

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?eydnjwq1m30

We are really proud of the work and feel like it is only the tip of the iceberg in terms of our potential. Please take the time to download and listen to it. I promise you won't be disappointed. Plus, you can say you were there from the beginning when we are huge. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Also, I would love to hear your thoughts, good or bad. So don't hesitate to share your opinion.

<3,

Andrew

PS Please share this link with anyone that might enjoy it. Share it with people who won't enjoy it. Just get the link or burned copies to people. We just want people to hear it and give it a chance.

PSS If you have a radio show and dig it, we would love for you to play this on your show. If you write for a blog or another publication and feel compelled to write about us, please do and let us know. Press would be fantastic. If you are in a band and want to share a bill, let us know. We want to play shows.

Thanks guys.

If there's already someone called "Four Tet", are you sure you wanna call your band The Tet Holiday?

At least call yourself "Black Tet Holiday" or "My Tet Holiday" or something original like that. ;)

Also Andrew people might confuse you with Billie Holiday.

Everything But Me sounds like a Siamese Dream B-Side.

The recordings are surprisingly good. I'd love to hear what you would come up with an even better recording. Guitar tone wise I mean. Your drummer is pretty good for a 12 year old or however old he is.

Drummer is 19. Bass is 15 going on 16.

Yeah, we were super happy with the way these turned out soundwise, considering the amount of time that was put into them (not as much as we would have liked in terms of getting to perfect the sounds we were putting down.) Our friend who recorded and engineered everything did a killer job.

Thank you for listening. I'm glad you enjoyed it. That track seems to be everyone's favorite, which is surprising to me but I am happy that people are feeling it.

"I Don't Wanna Give It Away" sounds a lot better than it did on EP1. Nice.

I had your first "EP" and really like the changes on "Everything But Me". On the last version the high pitched whatever the fuck really wasnt cutting it for me haha.
Anyways I posted a bulletin on myspace for ya, I dont know who will download it now out of my friends, but some of em will enjoy it!
So where are you from? You get any gigs?

While I miss the noodling-about intro from EP1, the song is definitely cleaner on EP2.

As a total shoot "Everything But Me" shuffled on iTunes the other day, and I'd forgotten it was your band, and thought "Hey, that's a really good song, and was pleased to see it was Tet Holiday".

We are based out of the Bay Area, but I go to school in LA, the drummer goes to school in Washington, and bass is in the Bay Area still cause he is in high school. We have played a handful of gigs, but this summer is when we really are going to start playing constantly. And thanks for posting a bulletin. We appreciate it. Feel free to friend us on Myspace so we can look more popular.

I Don't Wanna Give It Away and Swallow sound so much like The Go-Betweens to me. It is a pop melody that sounds effortless and simple on first listen but after repeated listens sounds intricate and emotionally connecting. Something Grant McLennan was a master at.
Everything But Me and The Anchor ‘Round My Legs takes the listener on a abrupt turn in style but I think will work just like the contrast worked for bands like LUSH.
The transition from the end of The Achor ‘Round My Legs into Rainclouds is hauntingly beautiful. It’s like the morning after a tryst with a succubus. I think the genius turn right there shows that you will be successful at this and have a sound that needs to be heard. I’m already a huge fan.

Favor to ask you guys...

If you know of anyone who writes for blogs/magazines/newspapers/whatever, please pass this on to them. We desperately need any sort of press to make it seem like people actually know who we are. As much as I would like to cite your guys' nice comments in our EPK, that probably isn't going to fly with the folks at CMJ and stuff.

Anyway, please let me know if you do know someone and they write something so we can cite that shit. Respect.

Andrew,

If The Tet Holiday do a World Tour during the summer(s), can I share the bill on the El Paso/Las Cruces date? If it is during the fall/spring seasons, can I share the bill when you guys hit Manhattan?

Thank you,

Just dl'd this and am fixing to give it a whirl... Let the record show that I'm actually going into this with high expectations, mainly due to the taste in music you've exhibited over the years, but also keeping in mind the relative youth involved. Will report back after at least 3 listens.
