Anyone else catch Surkin's set? I just wanted to dance at that point in the afternoon and didn't really care who was in the tent. Surkin turned out to be a pleasant surprise. He REALLY knew how get the crowd dancing. I hope he gets a better slot next time he plays. That put me in a great mood the rest of the day.

agreed I walked into the tent thinking para one was on and i look up to see what looks like a 16 year old kid. He rocked the place and I danced my ass off in the middle of the day

deifinitely checked 'em out good stuff, but i think para one was better. both these guys i believed played the best set out of all the people at the sahara. ettiene de crecy's cube wasnt great but i thought that his tracks were awesome cuz no one else played them all weekend long. everyone else similar tracks, but these 3 guys had totally different sets. why? cuz they are all french and the french know about dance music the best. ask daft punk if you are doubting me.

Totally freakin agree. We were in the mood for dancing and he definitely got it done, haha. Kicked off my biggest and most intense day of ridiculous dancing ever.

Nothing surprising about it. Surkin fucking rips.
He doesn't need to jump around like that drop kick Aoki or dance on his decks like that imbecile from Girl Talk.
I was really surprised that he was so early. I hope he stays early so i can be 4 rows back again.
Travi$DjAM was one of the lowest acts i have seen in my life.

He reminds me of that guy from Malcolm in the middle. The best part of watching his set is when he starts rocking back and forth then right to left on his laptop. It's like he's playing a video game. Despite the sound problems, he played a great set.

Surkin rocked it for sure. We checked out Drop the Lime (also very solid) and a little of Para One. Went to hide in the shade for a bit then got back in time for Surkin. Danced our asses off and then retreated back to shade.

It wouldn't have been a surprise if you had seen him when he opened the sahara on saturday and sunday last year
Exactly this. Surkin's always good, don't let the fact that he looks 15 and has no fancy costume or anything fool you. Everytime I've seen him, he's ripped it up.

Suprisingly? He is one of the greatest producers and dj's out there. Just not as well known in america because the Institubes label isnt that big. A lot of my friends base their Ableton set up off his because its one of the greatest in letting you really have fun in a live set

surkin is awesome, all the institubes dj's have talent. Para One knows how to sign good talent. look at for TROUBLE & BASS CREW THIS YEAR!
