Is there already a thread for this? Whenever they surface, let's post all the links for bootlegs in this thread. Hopefully it won't get locked with some guy trying to sell stuff like what happened last year.

Sin, who all did you get? I think I talked to you at some point in the campground but didn't know who you were.

Apparently I have to do work now.

Ok here you go, don't say I never do anything for you guys. All links have corresponding "source" that matches what's on my site. Enjoy...

When driving out of the camp at around 930-10ish yesterday, I was searching channels on radio and heard the song that Paul Mccartney dedicated to Lennon and it was soundboard quality, I need that...

kreutz2112

antony. that is the only bootleg I care about. I really hope someone recorded it.

Yeah that set was awesome. I hear the record doesnt sound like that at all, which bums me out.

kreutz2112
04-21-2009, 10:42 AM
yeah, the record sounds nothing like what we heard. the songs that were played were created by antony and matthew herbert specifically for that coachella performance. I hope they collaborate on an album or something cuz that set was srsly stunning.

Hell yes, you and me both. My flip flops somehow cut my goddamn feet even though I spent most of the time dancing without them.

Anyway, nice work getting some stuff recorded out there. I'd love to hear Patton & Rahzell and the Chem Bros sets again.

this was the first year that i did not see ANY headliners. i did catch a few songs at end of mccartney and a few at end of cure on the way out though.

in fact....other than black keys, cohen, the knux and mbv....i never left the tents. this would have to be the lightest main/outdoor stage year for me yet.

Thanks for all the kind words. I got 3 or 4 Fucked Up songs recorded with my camera. I hope between my bassless audio and his recording, I can come up with something decent sounding and visually interesting.

It's funny, I didn't even see their whole set, but I'd just kill for a recording because it just seems like one of the shows that really really needs one. Probably because of the wealth of new material they exhibited, much like Liars did. Their live show is just a really special listening experience when it comes down to it though...

Liars are still a 3-piece, the two men you see on the left are just their touring members.

this is where all my other recordings go too, so if you don't have an account, get one soon.

edit: if you are not a torrent user, you're pretty much out of luck. i don't sendspace or megaupload my stuff. torrents are extremely easy to use. download and install a client (i use vuze)...then click the link above and then click the link at the top of the page that says torrent file and choose OPEN when it pops up...it will automatically start up in vuze. just pick a save location on your computer and hit ok.

Atmosphere's set was great, there's something about a performer that owns the audience from the moment they step on stage.

So, is there a full McCartney out there? I'd imagine there would be more out there.

There's a McCartney torrent up on Demonoid here (http://www.demonoid.com/files/details/1890957/25461009/).

man, i thought i enjoyed the crookers set quite a bit. but listening to the boot the the other night, their constant yelling into the mic trying to hype people up totally ruined it for me. god that shit was annoying. glad it didnt bother me when it was actually happening.

Yeah, after listening to the recording I'm kinda glad we bailed halfway and floated over to M.I.A. for the last part of her set. Crookers were a'ight... but I (and everyone else) was expecting a little more.

MP, I wish you were at Coachella, if for no other reason than Beirut. They were absolutely incredible. The crowd reaction was amazing too. The lead singer (his name escapes me) looked blown away by the crowds reaction. They stole not only Friday night, but Coachella for me.

I honestly thought they were done for when they cancelled those dates before, so I feel kind of weirdly glad on Zach's behalf that they're going at all. And doing well, by the sounds of it.

EDIT: Does that sound creepy? It's not supposed to sound creepy. Zach Condon is not my limping adopted street urchin child. I've never met him. I have no stake in his success.

whats up with this coachella recordings website? can you download from them? if so, i cant figure out how. strange

listening to some of these bootlegs, i can hear the crowd chatting a lot more than usual. on the Cohen one, they do not shut up. it reminds me of how bad the crowd was this year- at least in my experience.

Because it's a lot more complicated than just placing links on the web site. I would have to host all the files on my server (takes up a lot of space)....plus all the bandwidth being used....plus not to mention the possible legal issues...it's not worth the trouble just so you guys have an easy link to download from. Trust me I've thought about this long and hard many many times, and tried to come up with ways to make it work (even like a pay $10 thing) but for now, it's staying the way it is. Every now and then I throw a link up on there, and I have a couple of my own vids hosted there, but nothing else. The site is a reference database for coachella fans (like myself).

Quality is not inherent in live performances, no matter how great the song. Moz sucked, he knew, we knew, he knew that we knew....

zenidogx
04-24-2009, 11:14 PM
i enjoyed it. his voice wasn't fantastic or anything, but i enjoyed his stage presence. Moz is such an asshole- i love it! and the way he struts around like a great crooner- fantastic, i thought. his band also did a good job of making the Smiths songs their own.

i love Beirut. i'm sad i missed it, but the Moz show was good for me. maybe because my standards were low. idk.

BobCaygeon

On morris's blog he says to split the tracks if you want, but not post them (or something like that).

So, instead I post a cue sheet I made for the Los Campesinos! recording. You can take this and something like mp3DirectCut to easily split the single mp3 into individual songs.

TITLE "Los Campesinos! - Coachella 2009"
FILE "Los Campesinos! - Coachella, Indio, 17-04-2009.mp3" MP3
TRACK 01 AUDIO
TITLE "Entrance"
INDEX 01 00:00:00
TRACK 02 AUDIO
TITLE "Ways To Make It Through The Wall"
INDEX 01 00:24:33
TRACK 03 AUDIO
TITLE "International Tweexcore Underground"
INDEX 01 04:20:35
TRACK 04 AUDIO
TITLE "Documented Minor Emotional Breakdown #1"
INDEX 01 07:31:57
TRACK 05 AUDIO
TITLE "My Year In Lists"
INDEX 01 11:18:46
TRACK 06 AUDIO
TITLE "Death To Los Campesinos!"
INDEX 01 13:00:46
TRACK 07 AUDIO
TITLE "Miserabilia"
INDEX 01 16:22:38
TRACK 08 AUDIO
TITLE "This Is How You Spell "HAHAHA, We Destroyed the Hopes and Dreams of a Generation of Faux-Romantics""
INDEX 01 19:55:03
TRACK 09 AUDIO
TITLE "Knee Deep At ATP"
INDEX 01 25:06:33
TRACK 10 AUDIO
TITLE "Box"
INDEX 01 27:38:50
TRACK 11 AUDIO
TITLE "You! Me! Dancing!"
INDEX 01 31:20:22
TRACK 12 AUDIO
TITLE "We Are Beautiful, We Are Doomed"
INDEX 01 37:20:36
TRACK 13 AUDIO
TITLE "Neil Unplugs His Guitar"
INDEX 01 41:56:74
TRACK 14 AUDIO
TITLE "Sweet Dreams Sweet Cheeks"
INDEX 01 42:24:41

I can't figure out what track 10 is. Ollie's setlist calls this "Box", so that's what I've named it here. Anybody have a better idea what the track is called? I've seen a part of this song be used as an intro to Y!M!D!

Oh, and here's an autographed copy of Ollie's setlist:

Just got back from my Coachella vacation and starting to look for boots. Is there a way that any of you who have been following this thread can just put all of the links to the available bootlegs all in one post? I did that for Lolla last year and it seemed to work great. Thanks. SIN, looking forward to hearing your recordings. Do you have a link yet for them?
