It's not horrible, but it is somewhat of a disappointment. So far anyway.

This thread is useless without link to streams but I am going to believe you - actually, I have no desire to listen. Ted Leo was another big disappointment last year. I heard he blamed or complained vs. the fucking heat (he did look terrible sweating profusely ... I thought he sucks singing live).

I don't remember him bitching about it. He was playing the outdoor stage at 3 p.m. though which is a fucking brutal time to play. It wasn't a great set, but I got the feeling he's much better in a smaller club.

The only reason I've heard his newest album is that I'm Ted's second cousin and I was over at his house and he was playing it for me. It was awkward when he asked what I thought about it. I couldn't be honest. He's sensitive.

I think it's disappointing after the greatness that was Shake the Sheets.

My bad. I just posted misinformation - I think now I remember him commenting about the too much heat. In fairness, he was not being an asshole about it and really, it was so fucking hot during his performance (it's in the Outdoor Stage) . I'll give him a second chance.

He mentioned wanting to switch places with James Blunt who was playing in a tent at the time i believe.

Ted Leo
April 30, 4:43 p.m.
Even while wearing all white, Ted Leo dripped with sweat on the Outdoor Theatre stage in the blazing afternoon sun.

He wiped his brow and joked about a fellow musician who was performing at the same time, but under the cover of the Mojave Tent.

"I'm so jealous of James Blunt right now," Leo said.

He stopped to tune his guitar and played a few chords from Daft Punk's "One More Time."

"Did anyone see that s#@& last night?" Leo said, then shook his head. "Amazing."

"Jealous" Hahaha! That's exactly how I felt - jealous of all those people watching James Blunt under the cover of Mojave Tent and at the same time am not ready to die for Ted Leo.

Even if you hate the leak of his new album, you should come to the city and go to Ted Leo. It can be a thing.

I like the song "Colleen" on the last Ted Leo album. It was poppy and catchy.
