Lineup coming out tonight, or early tomorrow. Who do hiphop heads want to see at the fest? i'm thinking Organized Konfusion, Blackstar, and a solo Train of Thought, Talib Kweli solo set.

it's not mispelled, I choose to spell it that way. Also Nas lost it after God's Son. I still enjoy the Lost Tapes 1 and 2 though, and Illmatic, and Stillmatic.

BlueDevil50

garbage lineup....pretty sad actually. the only WOWS are common and big boi.

the worthwhile acts are: nas, the roots, common, big boi, reflection eternal, both e&a's, chali 2na, and the mystik journeymen.

FUCK necro, tech n9ne, sage, marley, m.o.p., and the rest of the sorry out-dated acts. jump around...hahaha have fun with that shit.

as much as i love common, the roots, and big boi, i still love the '05 lineup. all the solid acts, no filler crap.

True.. I was reading up on that shit leading up to the event, so I had no idea what to actually expect at RTB. It would seem that for a show of that size and "prestige", Doom would actually care about his reputation and/or his cred. But then again, dude is a different breed.

Fuck it.. If he showed up under his Madvillian moniker one of these days, I'd still go check him out.

thats the last thing any line up ever needs

AbundantChoice
04-08-2009, 05:15 AM
ewwwww, get Necro off this lineup ASAP.

Other than that, some decent acts. E&A, Roots, etc. Apparently Slaughterhouse (sort of a hip-hop supergroup) absolutely killed it at Paid Dues. Curious to see if MOP can still bring it, or if their rap-rock phase killed them.

I think the lineup is solid overall, and would be a fun day, but is missing that "oh wow" artist that brings the punters in.

Especially given this lineup, I predict the Boston stop on this tour to be the Whitest Hip Hop Crowd Of All Time.

I was at the launch party last night. I don't think the lineup is that great, but damien marley and krs one were the best performers last night.
2009 RTB = another year I will pass on

I didnt. Im just hoping. It was at red rocks 2007. If its fiddlers Ill pass, that amphitheater has the worst sound anywhere.

They have an album coming out together. And for the person who says it must suck for Nas to be paired with Mr. Welcome to Jamrock you're crazy man. Listen to Road to Zion with those 2. The chemistry is incredible. I can't wait for the album.

And the lineup is good but nothing WOW's me. So I'm a do what I did last year. Buy grass seating for 25 and just sneak into the area in front

What are you talking about? There's no common, gza, cypress hill or k'naan. But Roots and Kweli will be there.

I'm still debating on going to this. But I have to leave before Nas+Marley to make it to HARD at a reasonable hour. And that's 1/3 of the reason I even want to go this (Busta Rhymes, KRS, Roots, MOP, and Ice Cube)
