Now that they play back-up to Jimmy Fallon, a Roots West Coast appearance has become something of a rare commodity. So why not book them to replace Amy Winehouse? They're an incredible live band, and the line-up could use some more hip-hop. Plus, they've gotta be cheaper than Amy Winehouse would have been. What's more, when you consider that they'll be backing Public Enemy doing It Takes A Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back, if both bands are on the line-up maybe nature will take its course and we'll get an awesome collaboration. So, make this happen Goldenvoice!

their 2007 appearance was one of the most boring Roots shows that I've ever attended.

the roots fuckin jammed in 07, great performance, i dunno if they are big enough to replace winehouse, I dont understand why the chemical brothers didn't take that slot

Wishful thinking here, but it would be nice to see The Roots added to this years' lineup. Yeah they've been at Coachella on more than one occassion, but I personally don;t give a shit. They put on a good show and would improve the quality of this years' Coachella.

They've backed Jay-Z a few times, that would be cool...
