Not sure where else to post this so....

I heard on the news this morning that the McCartney show scheduled for Las Vegas sold out in 7 seconds and set a record for selling the most tickets per second. Something like 600 tickets per second. They said the low tickets were going for around $200 and a pair of tickets was purchased for $10,000.

Makes no sense. Why would ONE pair of tickets be $10,000? Are they on top of the piano?

The difference between the worst and best views at The Joint is about 60 feet.

Also, half the tickets were probably sold to douchebags who will talk in the balcony all night, and then leave halfway through to stand by the pool and hope someone takes their picture.

I hear the $10K were a charity auction bid by a casino owner-and were VIP meet & greet.

Secondly, you can't really say the Vegas show has sold-out since you can still get a room and two tickets at the Hard Rock for $1500. I also got tickets for someone four minutes in to the sale, so 7 secs is just hype!
