I always like going with artists who put out the best recent albums, rather than the DJ/Dance Dinosaurs so many here seem to rally around (Sahara Tent really is the heart and soul of Coachella, isn't it) so to my tastes, that list would include
Deerhunter
Elbow
Frightened Rabbit
M83
NIN
Plants and Animals
Bon Iver
Robyn
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds
Sigur Ros
Betty LaVette (could team up w/ DBTs and Booker T)
Foals
Animal Collective
Randy Newman
and I'm one old timer who'd love to see U2 grab that Saturday Headliner slot, even though their new album does totally suck.

No. People were retarded and insisted on paying over $9000 on ebay for tickets because he played with an orchestra at the Bowl. A regular show in a much smaller venue? People can't get rid of their extra tickets to save their lives.

I think this would be an easy and nice solution. Just give the Chems part of the money intented for Winehouse and have them play a live set instead of a dj set. With the other part of Amy's money they can book one or two mid tier acts (Yeasayer, Asobi Seksu, Polyphonic Spree or even Broken Social Scene for example).
This way I can get my face melted at Sahara while The Killers close the Main Stage... Easy solution!!
