they'll be done opening for Cut COpy in time for the fest. Not sure if they have anything lined up after that but the new album is most def a fun listen.

i'm used to seeing them at the Che. very very very fun show, but would definitely NOT be fun out in the open. this band is meant for cramped spaces with people falling on top of eachother.

seriously, and with the crowd interaction too. like matt going into the audience and stuff, and everyone dancing together with the band after their shows. if anything, a coachella show would probably have a reverse effect on me and i'd leave their set feeling bummed out :(

I am in love with Matt & Kim.

I am more excited to see them than Cut Copy.

(disclaimer...I saw cut copy 4 times last year. They are still cool ;/)

I think they suck. They can barely play their instruments.

despite how simple their music is, they've always seemed to really know what they're doing. and i've never seen them mess up live, even with sweaty bearded dudes toppling onto stage and everything.

Will be shooting them tomorrow at The Glasshouse.

Gahh you guys are lucky. They're playing on a Tuesday by the time they come around my area; I have school. Have fun without me! D;

They played the Capitol Hill Block Party in Seattle in July 2007 and the show was still great. They were better inside the tiny Trunk Space in Phoenix sometime before then but they can still play outside.

I think they'd do well at Coachella.

you can't see a band on a weeknight? do you also turn off the TV at 10pm?

Seeing a band on a weeknight is not of approval by my parents. And no, I leave my TV on while I'm sleeping. I can't put it on sleep because my remote has been missing for the past 5 months. But anyway, bedtime's usually around 2 or 3.

Seeing them with Cut Copy Saturday night. :)

They are soo good. Not Cut Copy, a little played out, I am speaking of Matt and Kim.

I have said this once already - Matt and Kim *should be an add on this ticket.

There is an open spot for them to make it to Coachella.

@robhuebel Just chatted up Matt &Kim in Larchmont. suggested we change the band to Matt&Rob&Kim. they said 'no' but I think there's a chance!!

I like Rob Huebel.

I've seen them play a bunch of times, and they never fail to be incredibly fun. I'd love to spend some time on a nice desert afternoon with them...

Just got back from the show with Cut Copy. I had listened to a few songs of theirs before and I wasn't too fond of them, but they definitely impressed me live. They are probably the 2 happiest people in the world and it's hard not to smile when looking at them. They did a cover of Hip Hop by Dead Prez that was awesome. I think they would be great for Coachella.

awesome yesterday at glass house. CUT///COPY destroyed everything though.

wish there were more matt and kim fans there

yeah, another part of what makes matt and kim shows great is that the entire audience is totally stoked on them and goes all out for their set. i guess if they're opening for someone else, you kind of lose a lot of that element.

that's another thing that would make them a little less fun at coachella.

I bought a M&K t-shirt last night (only $12, yay) and actually got to speak to Matt just before Cut COpy played when I walked out to put some stuff in my car. Super nice guy.

Don't get me wrong, I do like Cut Copy. But their sound is kind of "cold", for lack of a better word. It makes for a less intimate show. I definitely preferred Matt & Kim's set for the intimacy.
