They have a new record out on April 23rd. They put on a great show. They're touring the UK in June, so it's not like they have any conflicts as it stands right now. I think it would be a super fun show for Saturday. The lead singer of The Killers performed with them at the Brit Awards 2 weeks ago. I would be very happy if it happened. I just wonder if there are even going to be anymore late additions...?

I would be ecstatic. I thought about them just a few weeks ago for the first time in a long time. I put on a bunch of my favorite songs and fell in love all over again.

AWESOME, but . . .

I like how this topic comes up at least a few times every year, and people always get behind it.

And unlike a lot of the "nostalgia" acts, they've actually stayed pretty relevant over the years, just not in the American mainstream. I love that they've been getting political.

CaptnCrzy and I saw them a few years back. This was the gayest dance party I have ever been to. My jaw was dropped open much of the entire show at the shock and awe type spectacle taking place on stage. This would be fun for you all to see.

Never seen Erasure?

Pet Shop Boys are like Motorhead next to Erasure.

hahahaha i was just about to chime in about this. I saw Erasure at the Avalon in like 2005 or 2006 and HOLY SHIT i didn't think anything could possibly be so gay

it was amazing

If the Pet Shop Boys are announced, this thread will be merged with the gay orgy thread. FACT.

OMG! Thank you for sharing that video... I have never seen it and it's fucking brilliant! Yay! So, they're playing 2 festivals in the UK in July... Is it a sign? Who really knows, but I hope so! Thanks again.

You know......Monklish (yeah I know) mentioned that one of the Sahara addditions was someone no one had mentioned over there.

This would fit that.

NO PET SHOT BOYS...I actually emailed them to ask and this was the response:

Hi Tom,

Thank you for your email.

I'm afraid the Pet Shop Boys are currently on a heavy promotional
schedule in the UK for their upcoming single / album therefore
Coachella is not possible!

Many thanks for your support!

Best wishes,
Lisa
