That would be pretty sweet. Not even close to as good as Rage but good. I think to beat the Rage reunion it'd take something like a Beatles reunion.

This year the part of the Stone Roses will be played by Happy Mondays. ;)

I think the Stone Roses is now a 'when' rather than an 'if'. Three of them want to do it. They're just waiting for Ian's pride to subside a notch.

This has to be a joke!!! Are you really going to sit there and compare some neo-socialist, now capitalist (how socialist is that) basic rock band to the BEATLES or THE STONE ROSES!!! Rage Aginst the Machine, haven't they now become the machine???? HA HA HA HA

perhaps next year like vinyl said. amazing how many kids in their 20's have never heard of them. then you play them a couple sr's songs and they're hooked. a much under appreciated band

ian brown hasnt a note in his head. worst lead singer ever. but his presence on stage is incredible. I for one would love to see them reform although there are so many cover acts out there now for the stones that i never know who im watchin these days. they could be the real thing or they could be copycat band, they really do all sound the same

you adore me.

ian brown can't carry a tune to save his goddamned life but that's what i like about him. GREAT live band also. i'd pay good money to see them again.

i think a Love and Rockets reunion would be better than the stone roses

It happened in '05, with Peter Murphy - called Bauhaus.

The Stone Roses would be pretty sweet.

I would love to see the original The Wonder Stuff.

I'll give you that, they are pretty good. But, I love Bauhaus.

I used to live near David J. in Encinitas, CA. You would occasionally see him around. Pretty mellow dude.

I'm off to see David J ('s show) in a few minutes.

But I would probably pay any amount of money and also give my first born (if I had spawned) to see the stone roses.

Caught the Stuffies three times. Would be difficult to get a reunion with original members now...what with the bass player being dead and all.

I think the Love & Rockets toured in 1999 as a reunion tour. I unfortunately missed that.

I would definitely support that reunion and a Stone Roses reunion. Sure, Ian Brown sings sharp, but they're still pretty damn awesome. Maybe he needs that autotune thing. ;)

it ain't pride that stops mr brown!!!
its the hard ground solo career he's got!!
i would love to see them all sorted but manis with primal scream, john squires being a muso/artist, mr browns just doing his thing and reni's about from time to time.

Exactly. I can't help but think this would end up like the Happy Monday's set in 2007, so i vote no on the stone roses.

Every time someone from Manchester plays at Coachella, they suck. Actually is Morrissey from Manchester? And I love these bands, damnit. So I agree with this thread, but with deep trepidation.

Morrissey didn't suck at Coachella. He was awesome.

That's why I asked where he's from. It might derail my theory that everyone from Manchester needs a freaking teleprompter and help standing upright.

Teleprompter...haha, that stings. I hear some of the jokes were on there too.
