Portishead was the best band playing live last year, I'm looking for the video that was posted in the bootlegs thread, one video with very good quality which began with a few seconds of animal collective playing, does anybody remember that video? I cannot find it anywhere, please help me out I want to download it, in youtube they have it but I'm looking for the other file with the entire concert, please mail me at solarvolta@hotmail.com if someone has it or knows where to download it, thank you.

I have tried that and no results man, It's like if they erradicated that video from the entire web except from youtube where I tried to download it with a downloader and the quality is not good, I remember that the video I saw last year had excellent quality it was avi or mpg format I don't remember....I have searched for it as a torrent or in blogs at portishead forums and nothing, why is it so hard to find the damn thing...

Portishead was amazing. I lost my friends in the inky blackness during Kraftwerk, and was kinda grumpy because my feet were blistered all to hell, but then Portishead started and I forgot about my bad mood and lost friends.

My favorite show of last year hands down. Even better than I expected. Prince was enjoyable but kind of a letdown afterward. Hopefully someday I will be able to see them again.

Fucking amazing! The visuals on the screens made it look like the show was being transmitted from the moon! In 1959!!!

That was the best act on the main stage for 2008. And 3rd is like the best album on 2008. What a great day Saturday was. James Zabiela>>>>Boys Noize>>>Hot Chip>>>Kraftwerk>>>>PORTISHEAD>>>> Prince = Frikin Amazing!

That will never happen ever AGAIN!

I spent the time between Kraftwerk and Prince to go to the beer gardens. That was before I realized the greatness that was Portishead that night. What a mistake.

i tried to get into them before the festival...i thought thier music okay but strange...now maybe it was the acid but watching them was serioulsy unreal. I felt i was like a this creepy halloween carnival...and her voice was like the firefly that i was following around using to guide me out...crazy stuff but a big highlight for the fest

HUGE FAIL.

Flogging Molly is ok, but you can see them anytime. Portishead in the US was a once a decade performance.

i agree. i still think they were the best act last year and i hope they come back to the US again.

I have a webcast rip, but the quality is shit despite the enormous file size. I'd be more than willing to pay for videos of every song from their set.

I never head Portishead before last year. Thier brand of rock makes me wish the rest of us would catch up. They make music for the sake of creating something real, while the rest of the world is just trying to sell bullshit to teenagers for a profit. I was awestruck for the entire set. At one point I actually forgot who I was, where I was and was just lost in the conflict between the wicked guitar work and the pain-inspired vocals. This performance opened my eyes on what music can and should be: truth.

Thankyou Portishead for enriching my musical taste and waking me up to a bigger world.

Missing Coachella in 2008 was my biggest disappointment of 2008.

I saw them in 98 and 08 and both times were amazing. 3rd was one of the stand out albums of 2008 and Portishead was the band to watch at Coachella last year.

Portishead was the greatest show of my life, and then I saw Roger Waters. Easily the two greatest shows I've ever seen. Nothing short of mind blowing.

i know... ironically, i saw FM like two weeks later anyway at Weenie Roast (where they were actually better)...

granted, i thought for sure Sour Times was gonna be their last song anyway... i've got the mp3s for the 3 songs i missed, oh well...

Portishead 2008 will go down in history as one of the best Coachella shows ever. Had to leave Animal Collective early to see the whole Portishead set. Walking toward the Coachella stage and hearing Portishead start was one of the best moments ever! Hope they make another Coachella dvd and include Portishead.
