When I was 12 I had my first sexual experience. At the time, I lived in a little suburb outside of Cleveland and anyway, the girl next door and I were really good friends. Our parents were both gone for the day and she was over playing Transformers with me. So anyway, we kinda got.. Bored I guess? And we started playing truth or dare, which turned into 'you show me yours, I'll show you mine". So anyway there I Was, 12 years old, heart pounding, blood rushing in my ears, and the chick (who was a year older than me actually) takes off her panties and hikes her little skirt up. So What did I do, you ask? I whistled for a cab, and when it came near, the license plate said "fresh" and there were dice in the mirror. If anything I could say that this cab was rare, but I thought "naw forget it, yo home to bel-air!" I pulled up to the house about seven or eight and I yelled to the cabbie "yo homes smell ya later!" Looked at my kingdom, I was finally there. To settle my throne as the prince of bel-air.

U2 has made some painfully awful pop songs, but Joshua Tree remains one of the greatest albums of all time.

LiveNation did not buy Ticketmaster. The two are proposing a merger with Ticketmaster sharholders controlling 50.01% of the merged company, and LiveNation shareholders holding 49.99% of the merged company. However, the deal could certainly be blocked by federal regulators.

Either way, I'm not sure this would have any impact on whether or not U2 is asked and decides to play.

It's on youtube somewhere, but I strongly advise you to stay the hell away, because it's absolute agony to watch/ hear. I think they opened for them when U2 played Montrťal. I'd venture to say it was one of the most instantly regrettable decisions Arcade Fire ever made, but they owe at least some of their popularity in this country to Bono and chums, so whatever.

I can feel myself starting to cringe inside out just thinking about it.

U2's new song is very, very weak.

Ireland, I mean Ireland. Where Arcade Fire are

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v310/jill_valentine/googletrend-1.jpg

arguably more popular than they are in Canada.

But yeah, I know they owe U2 a lot. That worries me, because I never, ever want Arcade Fire to turn into the complete shit heads U2 became. Ask Dave Grohl for details.

I wish U2 quit while they were ahead, is all.

By the way people chill the f* out...... U2 would not be a bad addition. Sure they may be mainstream, Bono may have an ego..... they may be old.... but not many other bands can still sell cds, sell out arenas/stadiums around the world and even themselves out quite like U2. You don't have to like them, but they do garner alot of respect around the music industry and even outside the industry and so many "BIG" coachella bands have been influenced by Bono, The Edge, Larry and Adam. Chill out folks and enjoy it!

and the little bitch went over his set which made Sigur Ros & Franz rush their set and made them go over which lo and behold made DEPECHE MODE cut their intro short. Don't mess with the Mode Kanye! (Though I have since somewhat forgiven him and realized despite his ego, he is a creative artist with his lyrics and music - the last album is great)

In all fairness, it wasn't really his fault. Check the set times. Zero minutes of downtime were scheduled between Kanye and Common.

Weather 'round here chopping and changing
Surgery in the air
Print shirts and southern accents
Cigars and big hair
We got the wheels, petrol's cheap
We only went there for a week
Got the sun, got the sand
Got the batteries in the handycam...

Her eyes are swimming pool blue
Dumb bells on a diving board
Baby's always attracted to the things she's afraid of
Big girl with the sweet tooth
Watches the skinny girl in the photo shoot
Freshmen, squeaky clean
She tastes of chlorine
(Miami), my mammy

Love the movies babe
Love to walk through the movie sets
Get to shoot someone in the foot
Get to smoke some cigarettes
No big deal we know the score
Just back from the video store
Got the car and the car chase
What's he got inside the case
I want a close up of that face
Here comes the car chase

I bought two new suits... Miami
Pink and blue... Miami
I took a picture of you... My mammy
Getting hot in a photo booth... Miami
I said you looked like a Madonna
You said maybe...
Said I want to have your baby... baby, baby
We could make something beautiful
Something that wouldn't be a problem
We could make something beautiful
Something that wouldn't be a problem
At least not in Miami

You know some places are like your auntie
But there's no place like
Miami, my mammy
Miami, my mammy
(Keys are in the car)
(Miami, my mammy)
Miami, my mammy

This prediction makes sense to me. I don't know how their contract is stuctured but The Killers/GV are not likely to allow someone on after them that is not a bonified legend (by 'legend' I mean has been around forever and sold millions of records). Those thinking MMJ, the White Stripes or even the Chemical Brothers as headliners after the Killers can forget it. But U2 makes sense in that even the Killers would probably be up for it. Bowie is the other one that makes sense here but he is apparently not up for performing.

Nobody know anything about anything so stop making up your stupid fake stories and fake dates and attempting to state facts about bands and Djs.

The most logical thing to do is look up bands/DJs that have an opening in their schedule and have some reason to play (i.e. came out with a new album or will be). Then we can just drool over the rumors list until some actual additions are made.

Depeche Mode
Basement Jaxx
Kings of Leon
Coldplay
The Decemberists
Bon Iver
Nine Inch Nails
M83
Grizzly Bear
Beastie Boys
Paul Oakenfold
Kaiser Chiefs

It will NOT Talking Heads (as Byrne is doing Bonnaroo by himself). It will NOT be Gorillaz (not big enough) or the Beasties (also doing Bonnaroo). Also will NOT be Depeche Mode (that would just be fucking lame).

the way i see it-
if The Smiths were officially reuniting and had announced a tour tentatively for summer-with Morrissey already booked for a solo stint at Coachella-im pretty sure it would be safe to say that The Smiths would be at Coachella as well
-however,this isnt going to happen(unfortunately,so)
-but, there is another act that is currenlty in this same happenstance

-Faith No More-

its makes more sense that theyll be added than most of the other acts being speculated-GV will maintain one headliner spot for an american act-ableit a reunion act, if not, theyre probably consciously aiming for some kind of Brit-Rock invasion...
(Radiohead,anyone?)

There isn't a chance in fucking hell that Radiohead will be the add. For one, having them as a late add is retarded (as they have played before, the surprise factor just wouldn't be there). Secondly, and this is the more important factor, they aren't touring.

In regards to The Smiths, I don't really see the logic in having Morrissey play solo only to play with his band the next day. That would just be odd. I'm not saying things of this nature haven't happened at Coachella before, it just seems unlikely with this specific situation.

But Faith No More... that could be more probable than all the rest. However, are they really bumping material against The Killers? I mean, I would hazard to guess that a lot more people in the general public are familiar with The Killers than FNM.

-sigh-

First of all-
Radiohead and The Smiths arent going to added-and i was only emphasizing Faith No More's chances of being an add as it were

Secondly-
Faith No More and the killers are not comparable
the killers-a kroq band,are more popular,yes
but they are not as relevant/influential as Faith No More and the killers do not convey the same spirit of indepedence and innovation that Coachella has come to typify w/the acts theyve enlisted over the years
(think Tool,Prince,Bjork,Portishead,Aphex Twin,The Pixies,Kraftwerk,Bauhaus,Iggy Pop etc.)

Faith No More are pioneers and their longevity is intact
the same cant be said about the killers-at least not by me:)

I miss understood you. I asked, "Who do you think will be added?" and I just saw the names you posted without thinking (I should read stuff more carefully in the future). Upon rereading your post I get what you were going for.

And I was not implying that The Killers were more relevant (or even at all relevant for that matter). To be honest, I think their success comes down to two factors. First, they have a lead man who is very ambitious. Secondly, they got a lucky break being on the OC which boosted public youthful awareness. I don't hate them or anything, they are just extremely mediocre. However, they are also VERY popular. Far more than I ever imagined they would be... hence their headlining status.
