Sure- why not? They are actually pretty good live. I saw them with Tool and NIN at Pukkelpop a couple of years back and enjoyed it. Are you thinking Saturday night?

Yeah, because of their two hits that most people probably don't even realize are the same band? I like them, they just aren't as popular as the Killers are. No where near, in America at least.

...a gift it would be should they be added...yet, maybe because their latest appearance @ Nokia (which btw, was awesome!) was all hyped and taped for their video, that they feel like they don't really need to accommodate so soon. IDK, I would be stoked for their addition...hopefully to wash out the Killers.

it seems highly unlikely that Kings Of Leon wouldn't ride their current american success and not play either coachella or bonnaroo.

They got a bigger turnout at MSG than the Killers. They both sold out, but the Kings of Leon "extra" sold out - they ended up opening up seating behind the stage and in the highest levels of the arena to accomodate the demand. i was at both shows too, and although i preferred the killers show honestly, the kings of leon had stronger fan support.

i think that is just the way some bands prefer to have the seating. some dont mind it completely in the round and some do. i dont think that has to do with selling extra tickets, i am sure those were always for sale.
at that that is how it is from what i have seen in my concert going years.

I can't believe they are playing effing arena shows now.... I just have something against them.... I think it is the fact that i saw them open for The Strokes who basically introduced them to North America back in 2003. They then continued to release a total of four albums to the The Strokes three. But too many of their songs sound like The Strokes. I mean minus the vocals, "Soft" could have been a Strokes song..... and the rhythm guitar at the beginning of Sex on Fire... I immediately hear "The Modern Age".....

"YEAHHHHHHH OOHHHH, This sex is on fire!!" thats the whole song.. there is nothing else to it....

I listened to their whole set at ALL Points West..... did not enjoy.

Yeah it's kind of a joke that Coachella wouldn't go after someone of KOL's current stature and instead go for the Killers and Amy Winehouse. Amy Winehouse? Is GV fuckin high? They have to be. I'm all for a KOL last minute addition. PS, I have cough drops if you need one.

I would be happier if The Strokes were there instead of KOL. They are working on a new album. Or that dumb waste of space why hasn't she died yet maybe she will at Coachella Amy Winehouse which if she did would make this the best Coachella or festival or single moment ever for that matter in history!

no...but i don't think they deserve half of the credit and praise that they are getting just because they jumped onto the coattails of another band.

it's 2009. they opened for the Strokes in 2003. the Strokes haven't been heard of since 2006. KOL have worked hard to get fame in the US, but the Strokes didn't really help them one bit.

Right... so KOL is a lock to be a late add because I'm sure they'd love to play in Cali on April 17/18 and then fly across the country to Boston for an April 19th show.......... makes perfect sense.......

If they were playing Coachella they would have started on the west coast.

just heard on the radio that KOL is coming to the forum august 22. they will be coming to la but lokks like its near the end of their tour. if they do coachella its looking like it might be friday although i'd rather see them there saturday cause that's what i got tickets for. plus saturday needs the most improvement

Most of this thread is assuming KOL play Sat 18th. This would seem unlikely if they are in Boston on the 19th. There is a 3 hour time difference folks!
Assuming they headline Sat or support Killers, it will be midnite before they make a plane-which they to charter! That would mean a 6-9am arrival in Boston.
The logistics do not add up to a coachella appearance. If they were playing Vegas, Arizona or Denver definitely but to start a tour in Boston, this is just crazy talk people!
