New record on the way according to our friends at NME (http://www.nme.com/news/the-lightning-seeds/42592).

It would certainly be an early set, but I could lay down in the grass at 2:00 p.m. and listen to songs like 'All I Want' and 'Life of Riley' while having flashbacks about life in the first half of the 90s.

Anyone?

Lightning Seeds were always very under-rated in my opinion. Ian Broudie certainly knows how to write a nice tune and produce some good albums.

This would fit their "retro" slot they seem to always have open nicely.

Sweet! Ian Broudie is great. I hope Terry Hall sings on a few tracks

it's written in stone that every time a 90s britpop band that had a countable number of fans in the US (all immigrants) gets back together we'll have a thread about the (im)possibility of them coming to coachella.

A follow up to the other video. This one is for France 98:

In my drunken state, I've been getting all sentimental for English football. The last hour has been spent watching England goals on Youtube.

Ahhh, that's plesantly cynical and only partially accurate. I'm not an immigrant but played the American visiting the island card for a while (although well after the reign of the Lightning Seeds). That said, there is an entirely unlikely quality to the idea of their appearance -- it's more of a daydream than a plausible scenario.

Where is this stone and how can I learn more about its prophetic truths?
