That looks solid.
But how do they fill 4 days of music with that few bands?

a) they'll definitely announce more bands
b) Bonnaroo sets tend to be alot longer than Coachella sets. Especially the headliners.

putting phish (lame) aside, i'm not sure which lineup is better. Doesnt seem like enough acts to pack 4 days, but the fact that they got NIN, David Byrne, Yeasayer, Wilco, Ben harper, Decemberists, snoop, beasties - is hard to compete with. I go to coachella because i like the place, the music, and the people. But i were just going based on which bands i liked, it would be a tough call.

Who knows how accurate that lineup is, but as it stands, I see a lot of overlap including most of the bands that I would be interested in.

people who complain about the Sahara tent lineup should consider going to Bonnaroo to see Paul Oaky, Girl Talk, and....that's it.

this is the initial lineup, not the full lineup. thats why there arent that many acts yet.

I think it's really good. They have really quality acts as far as big names go and the snatch of David Byrne is a good one. He put on a spectacular show full of Talking Heads songs in SF last year. However as far as my personal taste goes there aren't many bands on that poster that I am really interested in (at least so far) that aren't already at Coachella. Coachella's line-up seems a little more off the hinge too with acts like Throbbing Gristle and My Bloody Valentine, so that caution-to-the-wind, "booking divisive acts with no apologies" attitude kind of appeals to me more.
Plus I really don't like Bruce Springsteen and I say that in full knowledge of the venom about to be spat my way.

Hm? No MBV? See you at Coachella.
