STANDARD_911

Hey Everyone.

The purpose of this thread is to have people suggests albums for people to check out of the lesser known bands on the line up. I love listening to new and fresh sounds. So if everyone could please throw in there two cents about which albums to check out for the non-headlining bands so I (and others) can starting getting into these bands and hopefully draw some bigger crowds to their sets.

Please don't let this turn into an arguement. I think it is a pretty good idea.

Thanks everyone!

I'm gonna have to second that. Gregg Gillis (Girl Talk) is a extraordinary mashup artist. I'm waiting for the day a big lawsuit is filed against him(if it hasn't happened already) though. He gets a lot of criticism for the work he does. Anyways...check out his newest material Feed the Animals. You can purchase(download) it for "ANY PRICE on illegalart.net

If anyone needs to brush up on their Leonard Cohen, The Essential Leonard Cohen is a solid overview of his career, and I'm sure everything that he'll play at Coachella is on it. Songs of Love and Hate is my favorite of his, but it's a little more obscure in that it doesn't really have many of his better known songs on it.

For Throbbing Gristle I'd check out 20 Jazz Funk Greats first, then DOA:The Third and Final Report of Throbbing Gristle. If you like all of that then move on to either Heathen Earth or Second Annual Report

Leonard Cohen - Songs of Love and Hate and Songs of Leonard Cohen

For Patton and Rahzel I'd check out Rahzel's Greatest Knockouts, Fantomas' Suspended Animation, the General Patton Vs The Executionerz disc, and Peeping Tom
