I am VERY excited about Antony and the Johnsons AND Hercules and Love Affair playing the festival. Word is Antony might show up early to be on set for Hercules. That would be pretty epic, since it's never happened.

Kudos GV.

Still really excited about Paul, though that's a given. But it's about fucking time an American festival got him and we are all going to hear Beatles music. that is just... the best thing ever.

Paul McCartney, my favorite Beatle.
Vivian Girls, I saw them a couple months back and have been dying to see them again ever since.
the Knux, I love their album.
I'm excited to see what happens when the Amy Winehouse performance goes down in flames/doesn't happen at all.
Morrissey, one of my faves to the grave.
Paul Weller. Town Called Malice.
The Hold Steady, been following them since the first album but have never gone to see them.
Gaslight Anthem, I'm a sucker for dumb Springsteen-rip-off-rock.

That's just the tip of the ice berg, I know a lot of people are complaining (surprise, surprise), but personally, this is the most I've been excited by the line up since '04.

Throbbing Gristle will surprise a lot of people. It will take a while for the younger crew to find out just who the hell they are.

Sir Paul-No explanation needed.
The Black Keys--Can never get enough of seeing them live
Leonard Cohen-Always been a fan, never thought I'd be able to see him live
TVOTR
Okkervil River--Someone will probably punch me for singing along.
Hercules & Love Affair
Morrissey- Yeah, I'll admit it!
Gaslight Anthem
Bob Mould-I have no idea what kind of set he'll be playing; he's been doing a lot of dj'ing lately but frankly I hope it's with guitar in hand.
Booker T--hell yes!
We Are Scientists--Just like them. What can I say?

It's the Bob Mould band, which means he'll play 4-5 songs from his solo albums, 5-6 Sugar songs and 8-9 Husker Du songs. And we'll all weep with glee because he'll be that awesome live.

Fuck all the haters! This year's lineup is bitchin'!
I can honestly say that I am very pleased with what Goldenvoice has given us and any other additions would just be the cherry on top of this sweet sweet musical treat!
To be honest, I was hoping that 1 of the days would be so-so that I way I wouldn't have to go and I could spend all day lounging by the pool w/ a cold frosty beverage in my hand but now...
I have to go all 3 days!

not sure how familair many you are with Cloud Cult, but being from Minnesota and seeing them perfomr numerous times, they will blow your minds! Very creative on-stage performances and the suprise act of 2009. Only reason they don't get the publicity is because they explicitly avoid big name labels and go on their own "Green" record company.

CLOUD CULT...among many others throughtout the weekend I am excited for!
