Great act! They might be too mellow for the Sahara, but an early evening Gobi performance would be cool. I am really enjoying the Italians Do It Better record label right now.

Anybody seen them live? I know I could youtube it, but I prefer first-hand written accounts.

i LOVED them when they opened for Architecture in Helsinki and their merch guy was fucking badass. He GAVE me a free CD because I said I enjoyed the set so much...maybe he was flirting with me...DAMN, shoulda tried to hit it...

Was NOT impressed with their Echoplex set they did for Fuck Yeah Fest this year. Gets very tiring and repetitive really quick! I wanted to enjoy the set but they just were not doing it for me.

lol I have never heard of this band but apparently I've seen them. they opened for the faint, they're alright. dude plays beats on a CDJ and synth lines while the girl sings.

I am interested in this. If the music gets repetitive, she still will be fun to watch.

I saw them open for The Faint too. She has really unique ideas about what constitutes as dancing.

THIS. I also saw them open for the Faint. At the time I wasn't too into the music, but I've since become really fond of a few songs (though some are kinda annoying). I'm hoping for an evening set for this one, too!

I do think a lot of the songs sound really similar, haha.

Glass Candy reminds me of

Just saying.

I like Glass Candy, by the way.

i saw glass candy in phoenix in 04 or 05 on accident

had never heard of them before but i was supposed to do something downtown and plans got cancelled or something and i ended up wandering into the Modified and they were playing that night so i paid the 4 bucks or whatever and hung around and i remember it being a pretty rad set.

I've seen them twice and it was really good both times. The Fuck Yeah Fest show could have been a failure, but I thought they pulled it off really well. Their equipment was on the fritz throughout the set, but they had tons of energy.

"Beatific" is my favorite. I definitely did the thing where I just listened to it like 50 times in one day because I got so hooked ;)

Was talked into seeing them this last summer at a VERY small venue (Chop Suey - Seattle). It was incredible!!! Very intimate setting, clearly everyone that we there was there on purpose. It quickly turned into a huge dance party. I dug the beats, she was super into it and the crowd was phenominal. We were all literally drenched afterwards.

It will be very hard to top that. I don't really know how it'll come across on a bigger stage. I say give it a shot.

I'm still not going to try to claim they're the best band or anything, but I had an absolute blast dancing at this set. "Stoner disco" is right ;) Haha, plus her outfit was really good. Their time slot definitely made this a lot more successful than it would have been earlier imho... I think I spent so much energy going crazy here that I basically died during MSTRKRFT.
