I saw them in late 2007 (Bay Area show was the only one they didn't cancel in '07) and their second encore was 7 straight songs from Boys Don't Cry ... Un-fucking-real ...

that show was better than the '04 Coachella set ...

I bet they will be fantstic.

so hard to compare, from what i remember in 2004 (and i may be thinking of curiousa and not coachella) was more disintigration. i don't know which is better. boys don't cry and disintigration are my favourite albums (though standing on a beach/staring at the sea would be up there if it wasn't a greatest hits).

i do remember them playing "close to me" as one of their last songs at coachella and i FLIPPED. they used to never play that song, and we got that AND lovecats that year (again, maybe curiousa).

they will not disappoint. i'd love some prayers for rain in the dark on the polo fields. mMmMmMmm.

Shit was weak in '04, and quiet too. Anticlimactic to say the least especially after what Radiohead did the night before. Air was way better than the cure that year.

everyone's got an opinion.

Air bores me to no end ... but, if you like them ... go nuts!

air's 04 set was fucking amazing. it was not the same seeing them again in 2007. that set at sunset in 04 was one of the best moments of my life.

This is why Coachella has five stages. If you don't like who plays on one of them at any given time, go to a different one. Now, do us all a favor and kill yourself.

I'm really excited to see The Cure, but I wish My Bloody Valentine would close the night. The Cure is gonna have to play fucking loud to beat MBV before them

I think The Cure will be a great way to unwind at the end of a long weekend. They were great at the Troubadour in December.

As of now, their encore is the ONLY good part of their set unfortunately

Saw them in L.A. in June. I loved their set, but somehow it's kinda disappointing in this context. Maybe if the Saturday headliner was better. McCartney is the only headliner I haven't seen at some point in the last two years. I was really hoping for Outkast or Neil Young.
