American Express Gold Card

has Coachella 2009 appeared in your Gold Card Events yet? I don't see it, but I find their site a bit messy to navigate.

for what it's worth, it's not that I think that the VIP area is *so amazing*, it's just that I usually go to coachella with media people who are covering the event for work and it's nice not to be stuck on the other side of the fence.

if you are a true vip then you shouldn't have to buy your tickets...

if a vip falls on the polo field and there's no one there to catch her wristband does it make any sound?

1) Join Daft Punk
2) Insist on being added to Saturday lineup

You get VIP, we get Daft, everyone wins

I took the coachella express last year and was sitting next to Paul. He pulled out a box and gave every single person on the train (like 300) VIP for the entire weekend. VIP is nice for the shade and the liquor and the short lines and the AC bathrooms and the occasional celebrity spotting. The VIP isn't amazing, but its nice.

Hell yeah. It's a great place to spend those hours where it's really hot and nobody on my must-see list is playing. And I can't imagine how painful it will be going back to poratpotties this year.

So are you going this year?

Gold Card Events is charging $500 for a VIP 2-day pass to Stagecoach when general admission for two days is $99 before fees. If Coachella follows that same markup trend, probably best to look elsewhere.

$500 is for reserved seats, not GA. Stagecoach is different.
