LOREN ASHTON WOULD STEAL THE SPOTLIGHT FROM ANY OTHER DJ PERFORMING AT CHELLA. ALONG WITH NECTAR I WOULD REALLY LIKE DAVE TIPPER TO MAKE AN APPEARANCE-----BEAUTIFUL

HONESTLY, WHO WOULD NOT WAS NECTAR TO PERFORM THIS YEAR??

actually a lot of people still know nothing about bassnectar. a set in the sahara would definitely change that though. he would be a breath of fresh air.

i wouldn't call it big. if he were to play the sahara at say around 7pm, that would be his coming out party.

Bassnectar is for hippies that dont understand electronic music.

SO true. Thats just where he found his nitch, within the STS9 crowd. I'll admit that whenever I've seen him, it's always a been a hippie crowd, on the bright side, it's never hard to get stoned. His style is very unique. He is pushing the envelope on dubstep music. I've been a fan of his for well over 5 years, and he never disappoints. I'm hoping for a mid-day set in the Do Lab. But i'd LOVE to see him in the Sahara.

LORIN aSHTON NEEDS TO PLAY AT COACHELLA IN 09'. HE PLAYED IN THE DO LAB IN 07, BUT I THINK IF HE DID A SET IN THE SAHARA IT WOULD SHOW PEOPLE HOW TALENTED AND RIDICULOUS THIS GUY TRULY IS.

Seriously. Bass Nectar is the hippies DJ. That is why barley anyone has heard of him. He has been playing pretty much every hippy festival possible for a few years.

I have seen him live a few times. He puts out some great tunes. I fully support Bass Nectar in the Sahara.

I was seeing Lorin 6-7 years ago, probably ages before you had even heard of him. Back then he was a DJ, a really good one at that. Now he just drops dub-step with interwoven pop hits. I understand that it strikes a nerve for some people. I am however happy that you believe I don't have taste. This just re-affirms my first statement. I've been going to Black Rock City for 12 years, I have played music for over 25. But, yeah, you are correct, I must have no taste.

its hard to recommend nectar albums because he makes such a variety of amazing music...if i were a beginner of the nectar i would start out with underground communication...and then advance to something more breathtaking like Mesmerizing the ultra...once you have indulged in both of those and begun to take in the nectar...move on to diverse systems of throb, motions of mutation, beatfreak bohemia, freakbeat for the beatfreaks...and any studio sessions you can find..they are always amazing.

anyone who suckles the nectar....is a more intelligent person.

Chango- I hear what your saying about Lorin... I only wish I could have seen him that long ago...you are blessed...too bad my parents didn't raise me right or I would have been at BM listening to that when I was 15...

have you also been a Nexus camper in BRC for all of those years!? I like that spot : )

They are moving to a different location. LIB is 1000% definitely not happening in May. There is a very slight possibility that the DO LAB does an LIB style festival in the beginning of August. But LIB will not ever take place at the Live Oak campground in Santa Barbara again.

It is very sad but absolutely true.
