Rob Crow is doing his Goblin Cock tour right now. His self-proclaimed "cash cow" won't be up to anything until his fucking idiotic pet project is done touring.

I love Pinback. Has anybody ever seen them perform the song "Grey Machine"? That's probably my favorite song in the world.

Oh shit. Really? I'd definitely be down for some Pinback at Coachella. Always great. Probably too late to get added though...

I literally just got into them last night/this morning on the way back from Vegas. I support this at Coachella. I was surprised to like something off my friend's pop-punk iPod.

oh man they played the entire 11 minutes when i saw them at UCSB.... funny story

at that same show when the opening band was playing, i was in the back and i looked back at the glass windows and saw Rob crow banging on the door to get the security guards attention. i burst into action and let him in and ended up talking to him for a minute or so.

one of my better high school memories.

Whatever happened to their band-mate who was stricken with cancer? I saw them play at the Echo about 6 months ago and Rob Crow was fighting back drunken tears during drunken talks between songs.

Sadly, Terrin Durfey is no longer with us. He passed away after a longer battle with cancer. I'd highly recommend checking out his other projects -- Boilermaker and the Jade Shader.

Saw these guys with MC Chris at the Knitting Factory in Hollywood. Well, we hung around for part of their set then bailed. I'd say if you're not already into indie rock they won't do much for you.

Pinback 2011?

Saw them last year and they were incredible. I remember from a previous thread that most of you Coachellians hate them for some reason or another. I don't understand why that would be the case though....

I understand the appeal, they're just too soft for me......besides, I hold a mini-grudge against these guys cuz the one and only time I saw them perform it was in Eugene, OR 2005 where they appeared to "break-up" mid set......one of the dudes said something like, "this isn't working for me" and stormed off-stage in a little hissy fit w/ the drummer, so it turned into a solo act for the frontman the latter 2/3 of the show......I tried to get a refund, but to no avail, and then they "re-united" a month or two later......it's funny to look back on and I wish I could post a vid (couldn't find one on yt), but naturally I was pissed at the time, and Pinback left a bad taste in my mouth.....
