Blonde Redhead

has anyone mentioned them as a possibility
They've always been underground
their myspace only has 36K friends
they'd be a fresh breath of air :winkiss
with all this
KILLERS. WINEHOUSE.COLDPLAY... TALK

LOVE & ROCKETS WASN'T EVEN MENTIONED LAST YEAR
i THINK BLONDE REDHEAD WILL FILL THAT TYPE OF SLOT FOR 2009

They are a great band, but I have seen them 3 times at Coachella, so the prospect of them being there doesn't excite me that much...I would still watch them though, barring major conflicts

They were my highlight of 2007 (no small feat - JaMC and Sonic Youth are my 2 favorite bands). Definitely would enjoy another round.

What the fuck is with OP's font choices? Really disorienting.

Blonde Redhead's played nearly as many Coachellas as Perry Farrel, let them release a new mind-blowing record in a year or two and then bring em' back.

What type of slot? I don't see what they have in common.

i wouldn't say thay have something in common as much as they complement each other very well.
90's style rock..
early b.red is very distorted and violent..

They would compliment each other fine if they were playing together. I just don't understand how they fit in the same "type of slot".

-One was a reunion, one is a ongoing project that has played Coachella repeatedly.

-They come from different time periods (BR was appearing at about the time L&R were vanishing.).

-I wouldn't call either one of them "90's style" (especially since L&R peaked in the 80s.)

-BR are ultra-underground, L&R were radio/MTV staples.

-They wouldn't occupy the same position on the poster- (L&R was billed 2nd on Sunday '08, BR were 10th or higher on Saturday '07)

I like them both, it's just an odd comparison.

i like your back up info..
you're very correct..
maybe i didnt write what i meant..
perhaps what I was trying to say
is that people that listen to b.red probably listen to
love & rockets
or at least should.
i know they're different in many ways
but their sound goes very well together..
its hard to describe this genre.
help me out
