Really? Just go into Coachella's friends list and go to view new friends. They all should be there, I'm looking at them right now on my phone.

Ohhh i see now. I though it was under top friends, not new friends.

I have tepid peppermint wonderland but never really got around to listening to it all. What are some good BJM songs?

(besides Open heart surgery & If love is the drug)

Seen em at The Troubadour one night and my uncontrollable sister went onstage walkin around with a BJM sign like those girls hold numbers in between boxing match rounds. Fuck man. She's on meds now.

Oh, and my favorite BJM song is 'Miss June '75'

I really hope The Aggrolites play. Also, I don't know who Nic Armstrong is, but a Tim Armstong set w/ The Aggrolites would be awesome.

I personally dig:

Hide and Seek
When Jokers Attack
Here To Go
Starcleaner
You Look Great When I'm Fucked Up
Evergreen

I also dig their whole album Methodrone, but I'm just a sucker for shoegaze type stuff.

from the other BJM thread:

If they weren't playing LA then maybe it would be a possibility.

kinda makes sense.
plus they're adding alot of nonsense friends to their myspace. so i'm trying to ignore those.

Britney Spears was added. She must be playing now too, right? Along with Beyonce, The Police, Justin Timberlake, Flobots, Boards of Canada, U2 and Bajofondo.

Ok, two of those I think are actually happening...

Will he get into a fight on stage though? You know like in the movie "Dig", or has he chilled?

I've seen them a few times, and usually Anton will go on some rant and yell at someone in the audience. Most of the time the audience eggs him on, so it's almost become a gimmick.

I love the BJM. But, to be honest, I think I would rather see a Dandy Warhol set than a BJM set. Last time I saw BJM, they took the stage an hour late, Anton threw a 57 minute (yes, we timed it) temper tantrum and then finally the band started playing. Didn't get home till 3am. I will say, the time they played they were awesome. Didn't do much off of my favorite album, "Strung Out in Heaven", but I would guess that has a lot to do with the fact Anton didn't do much to complete the album (Matt Hollywood did.)

In any event, Anton is known for having meltdowns at moments it counts most, so if they do play Coachella, my guess is we will be lucky if we hear a few songs before he goes into some idiotic rant/rage. Remember, Coachella runs a tight ship - most bands don't go over (by much, unless you are Jarvis Cocker) if they go on late.

Again, just my :2c

BJM have been great every time I've seen them, or an absolute disaster, which also can be highly entertaining

Nic Armstrong and the Thieves played Coachella in 2005.

So today, Coachella's new MySpace friends include PJ Harvey and Metallica. Just sayin

unfortunately PJ has tour dates in England April 16,18,20

maybe next year

The point was, just because a band is new friends with Coachella on MySpace, it does not mean they're playing the fest...

Now that they get played a lot on KROQ out here, I wouldn't be that surprised....

not my idea of a Coachella band really, but I took my little brother for his B-day in December and they still kick ass live
